Needed the power kit and this was cheaper to buy as spare parts and it works great and nice to have spare parts just incase and it was easy to install nice size as well fits perfectly in the door bell chime housing

This is exactly what I needed. I needed the extender wires to get the unit to function. These were included with the kit. It made the Ring fully operational with the wired system. Plus, now I have a few spare parts if needed. Price was right

Inexpensive spare parts, but not the V2 Power Kit I thought it was.
Ordered this because I thought it was the V2 Power Kit, but when it arrived it is the V3 which cannot be used to bypass an indoor chime. Oh well, it was inexpensive and it’s always good to have spare parts.

Not Powering On Fix
This fixed my ring not powering on, it takes an hour to charge and start working though…

If your Ring doorbell randomly stopped working, this kit may fix .
The battery installed inside of my doorbell chime has failed two times since I purchased the doorbell 5 years ago. The battery in this kit had brought my doorbell back to life two times. It is a shame that Ringâs troubleshooting instructions do not recommend replacing the battery installed inside the doorbell chime. You do have to wait a while after installing a new battery for it to charge before the doorbell will work again.

A bit disappointed with the Ring staff
Moving onto a new property we had to make our ring cameras operational and Ring.com staff makes it very difficult to achieve that:1. You have to have the previous owner’s permission to actually take over your account, although you are the one paying for your account2. You have to speak with the Ring.com staff regarding this and trust me, it ain’t a straight conversation as they say one thing and do another. After many conversations where I was let down, I asked to speak with the manager (all based overseas) who finally resolved his colleagues’ mistakes3. You have to get this set to actually open your Ring camera (we had different types of cameras) in order to give Ring.com staff the details of your cameras4. Since you do not know what set is good to open your camera, Ring.com staff advised me to get the wrong package which did not work on one of our camera, thus having to get the second package!!!!!No wonder I was so disappointed with all these, how difficult the whole process was that I did not want to call these guys again. And we still have some problems with a camera but nope, I do not want to call them as they either do not know what they are talking about or they give you the wrong information.Setting up the software is easy, there are some repetitive problems and that should not be the case – and yes, I have a science background, I deal with most of electronic, electric and mechanical problems for a very long time besides being on the OCDish side with the organisation of just about everything. I conclude is nothing wrong with me but with Ring.com software and staff knowledge.
