    EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED
    Yes, all caps…I meant it! Love all the scenes and the app is soo easy – just the right amount of adjustable brightness, waterproof and warm and cold white – SO VERSATILE! Definitely a Govee fan now:) they have been up for 2 months – no complaints. We did pick different clips that could be attached and screwedafter the strip was placed. Make sure you order the right size – these lights are encased in clear flexible silicone so they are thicker and taller. The adhesive was not great so other reviews about that are accurate.

    Great and easy to install on house Trim.
    Easy to mount and look great. A lot of the scenes don’t look great on their own and there isn’t an optimized version for them on strand form but as I add more to them that will fix itself and while twinkly has this feature the price difference of these lights more then make up for it. I think only 5 of the included screws stripped so I would recommend govee include a few more extra but that is a minor problem. Overall I recommend!

    You get what you pay for
    I replaced my THIRD failed Daybetter waterproof 32’ (TWO strands) light strip in 3 years with this Govee SINGLE 32’ strand of MUCH better lights. I’ll just list my favorite things as a lighting connoisseur – we have trippy lighting in every room in the house.Heat – With the cheap lights I had before, there were problems with the lights and power supply both running hot, and on the second strand it actually left burn marks on the wall. Pretty sure our house would have burned down shortly after if we hadn’t bought the third strand. Each set of Daybetter lights also had a smaller power supply than the last, clearly to save money, at the expense of running dangerously hot. We’ve had these Govee lights on just about 24/7 since installing and there’s no sign of dangerous heat in the least.Colors – the color options are awesome! True white, and vibrant colors. I love addressable lights because you can get cool patterns or mixed colors, but it would be nice if it was addressable down to the individual light. That would up the price for sure though, so I’m not taking off any stars for that. The app has a TON of pattern options, but I’m not a fan of any of the presets. A smoother transition of lights slowly changing in the “dream chasing” style is my favorite alternative to static colors, but no such luck (it may be doable but I haven’t seen it yet).Adhesion – better than competitors, and it’s nice to have the mounting brackets too. I did a combo of sticky backing and the brackets and I’m very happy with the result.The cable is super long, so I had to get creative hiding most of it, but they’re rated for outdoor so it fits those needs perfectly. I do like the on off switch on the cord too.Would buy again. Govee is my new favorite mid-upper tier lighting brand, only second to Hue and Superlighting LED. Their behind TV light strips are superb too. I’ll be buying another strand in a week or so to replace a Blacklight we were using. Hope this helped.

    I installed this on the front of my house. It doesn’t work consistently. The lights are bright and colorful, when they work. I suspect there is a problem with the controller. It won’t connect to WiFi and Bluetooth consistently, and when it does work, it will display random colors and throughout the day, even though I programmed it to be on only at night. The unit I installed in back works fine.

    These are awesome!
    🤩Just did the whole front of our house with these and they’re great.✅ They install easily and put off a great array of colors.✅ Lots of options to choose from with the lighting scenes and you can create your own scenes.✅ Loving the ability to use these in the off season with a nice dimmable warm/cool glow. This was a big selling point for us.👍 The adhesive seems okay. I’ll circle back in a year to talk more about this.🙈 The app is not without it’s limitations.One thing I’d like to see is the ability to reverse the directional orientation of sequences. When you’re installing outside lights, you’re at the mercy of power sources and sometimes must run the lights in an opposite direction. I’ve not found a way to change their orientation yet, but will update my review if it do.I’d like to see more group control features with time. As of now, the group control is extremely limited. First, you must be in Bluetooth range. Not always a convenient option. Second, when dealing with different lengths and installation orientations, it’s not very simple to get different segments to play well together. Actually impossible when using scenes. You can do diy programming to achieve that, so in theory it’s possible.🙄 Cutting can be done to these (at the predetermined segment points where you see the solder), but be warned, splicing isn’t quite as simple when working with outdoor lighting. I tried to cut and connect two separate sections via a 18/5 wire, and it ended up being a huge waste of time. I ended up just buying another segment and powering it from a different source. Even as a professional, it was difficult to use a 5 pin connector on them. Even when soldered, it was buggy.I do highly recommend these and hope with time the app gets more awesome. Aside from the few minor gripes, I love these.

    The outdoor lights everyone should have!
    So far the performance of these lights were exactly what I was looking for! They are so bright and bold! However the adhesive needs some work. It’s a hit or miss kinda thing. Like one section took a few try’s to get it to stay in place. Other than that they were easy to hang up. We are Looking to get more to wrap the bottom of the patio. Also looking at them for the whole outside of our house for all of our holiday uses. I also love the customization you can do with the app. By the way The app is awesome! It has so many features and light shows to choose from it’s crazy. I even customized a theme for the 4th in a counterclockwise rotation. The picture was taken at 8:50pm and you can still see the sun is setting, but look at how bright they are. Absolutely pleased with them so far!

    Installed these lights in February, as others mentioned it does not come with extra clips and the tape does not stick to wood. Since the install they were great up until a couple days ago when I noticed half were not working after a rain. It looks to me like where I turned a corner the rubber had dried from the sun already and cracked causing halt the string to short out. Not very good life span for expensive set of lightsUpdate- Govee service was so good they contacted me and after a short discussion they replaced the light string. Very nice of them.

    Box arrived with seal broken. Product inside was half unwound and shoved in box. the half unwound was severely damaged. Appears someone returned it and the product was not checked before sending out. No Quality Control.
