    The Kasa Smart Switch 2-Gang HS200-2 has been a fantastic addition to my home. Installation was straightforward, and the switch integrates seamlessly with my 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.     Works great with our new recessed lights! Works great with SmartThings, Alexa, Google Home
    Saw a couple of reviews saying they had difficulty setting this up. And even one saying this 2 gang kit is less reliable than 1 gang…well this 2 gang kit is actually composed of two individual 1 gang units…that can be combined into a 2-gang wall plate. For us, it was easy and flawless. Perhaps key is to make sure you’re attempting to connect this to 2.4ghz wifi. Some wifi routers combine all radios…2.4ghz, 5ghz, etc into the same wifi SSID. Some devices have issues connecting to combined SSID’s. Do yourself a favor and configure your wifi router to use unique SSID per radio. This way, when you connect to the assigned SSID for your 2.4ghz wifi, you are guaranteed that your device(s) are attempting to connect at 2.4ghz and not 5ghz.After successful wifi connectivity, it prompted me to do a firmware update. That was successful too. I already have my Kasa app (we have other Kasa switches in the house already) linked to SmartThings, Alexa, and Google Home, so it was as easy as saying “Alexa, turn on kitchen lights” or “Hey Google, turn off dining lights”. The physical dimmer buttons work great as expected…however, I have not tried using voice commands to control light dimming fuctions.

    Network setup is a pain
    The switch itself works great and pairs easily with Alexa. I have numerous Kasa smart switches and plugs, they all work flawlessly.The two gang switch has issues pairing. I tried multiple times with my phone and it would not pair to the switch. Read a review that said to try with a tablet so I tried that. Two gang switch paired immediately without issue. Note, you pair one and then the other. To pair the second switch I had to rejoin the TP-Link WiFi network even though I was already connected to it.

    Works just like it should. I have it connected to an alexa and it’s nice to be able to turn the fan and light on and off via voice.

    Works great!
    I realized after I started installing this that one of the switches in my outlet is a three-way switch. I ended up using only one switch from this set to put on the normal switch in the outlet and getting a regular three-way switch for the other one (then just used smart bulbs for those lights). I found a regular switch that would fit in the included face plate. It functions well. It was easy to get to connect to my system. I use Alexa for most things. You do have to install the Kasa app first and set it up that way before Alexa will recognize it. I’m about to install the other switch from the set into another outlet I have that is the same way (Of the two switches in the outlet, one controls one set of lights alone, the other switch controls a light that is also controlled by another switch.). Make sure you have a neutral wire in your outlet. That is required with this switch and most other smart switches. Older houses often do not have them. Mine only has them in some of the outlets, not all.

    Great product very easy to setup
    I have Kasa lightbulbs and 4 Kasa smart power strips, this new 2-gang smart switches was super easy to connect to my WiFi. I did have it professionally installed and I personally connected and set up each switch without any problems at all. In my opinion TP-link KASA is as easy and reliable as Phillips or Blink or even Ring products and apps. I do wish they would make the plate a little more of a flexible material, because the plate does not fit flush with the wall, but I have found other brands have the same problem. I would definitely recommend this product.

    Horrible Experience
    One of the switches worked but the other would not connect to our Alexa. My husband does maintenance for his profession so he is very familiar with connecting electrical items. He called the company and spent several hours on the phone with them twice trying to get it connected. They finally agreed that their item must be faulty and said they would replace one of the switches. Then they sent us an email saying that we had to register for their warranty to get a replacement. Then they proceeded to tell us that we had to pay the shipping for the replacement item. No acceptable! We are returning through Amazon and will never purchase from this company agagin!

    These are great switches. Quality made product that can be programmed to meet your needs. They are very easy to set up with your WiFi and control through the Kasa app or integrated into a smart system. It also allows you to control the brightness of each light.
