Works very well, software could use some updating
System works very well, and no monthly fee like Ring. Only issue unit needs to be rebooted occasionally, and software needs to be stopped to reconnect. Running software on a laptop using BlueStack App player.

DO NOT BUY
This 2k video doorbell is trash. If you get one to work correctly – itâs fantastic. I had my first one work for 8 months then one day – a delivery driver rang the doorbell and it died. Wired and completely died. Called Lorex their customer service is terrible they do not even know their own products made me send pixtures .. I Paid my electrician hundreds of dollars to to replace brand new wiring and transformer to no avail. Lorex Doorbell needs a major fix. I received another one which would only work by usb. I purchased a 3rd which would not connect to my internet I called Lorex once again their CS reps made me go through the same nonsense of sending pictures and in the end couldnât help me. Itâs been 3 weeks zero response from Lorex. Still waiting on the escalation email. I packed it up and sent it back. I have their cameras and they work great.Lorex 2k wired doorbell is trash along with there customer service whoas knows nothing except the script they read. Itâs really a shame. Do better Lorex. Itâs a shame I had to give 1 star to leave a review. Should be 0.

Works great and NO SUBSCRIPTION
My wife has been wanting a video doorbell for some time. I finally broke down and went with the Lorex 2K version. I contemplated the 4k, but 2K seemed more than enough for the doorbell. Actually, I have it configured to run in 1080p.The setup was pretty painless and installed it with a Newhouse 24V chime / transformer. At first I thought it may not work with the chime, but a quick search showed I needed to enable it. Once I enabled it, the chime worked. So far, the push notification seem reliable. The camera is wide angle, probably moreso than needed and it picks up a lot. I am still working on dialing the sensitivity and area. The night vision is really good, better than expected.Issues:1. The video does have the fisheye effect. I would think with today’s tech that would be a thing of the past. I surprisingly have learned to ignore ie.2. The app could use a little help – not the greatest and there are some annoying things like not always seeing the person in the event list. Navigating live and historical views a little clunky.Overall, the issues are not making me want to return it and I am considering getting Lorex cameras too. Hopefully the local storage uses a LIFO method when the SD card fills – have not had enough to hit that point. I would recommend this unless the fisheye video is a deal breaker for you.

Excellent choice for non subscription camera
This is a good choice if you don’t want to sign up for a monthly subscription to push the information to the cloud although that is also an option. A better solution would be to set up an NVM on your home network and manage all the data at your home rather than paying for someone else to do it. Easy to install There are a couple of idiosyncrasies that you have to deal with but every camera has something that you may not like. Overall this is a great way to add front door security to your home especially if you already have a wired doorbell that is powered by a 24V or higher transformer

WORST DOORBELL CAMERA & APP
Rating is less than zero stars. The app does NOT connect to the device. Wasted hours trying to connect. Called Tech line and jumped thru hoops. Was asked to get a voltage meter, remove the camera, turn power off from the breaker, reset camera (which doesn’t work when not connected to the wires), forget my home WIFI, reconnect. I gave up when resetting the camera didn’t work. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. This is going back!

Very good camera
Good camera. I had to change out the transformer to get it to work but after that all was well!

Works Great
I bought this on July 9th and installed when I received it. Picture/video is very clear. Audio is great and picks up people right away. Haven’t had any issues with this at all.
