4 YEARS OF CANVIA!
I made the decision to purchase a Canvia frame for our house after much research. I looked at the Frame tv and other forms of digital frames and art. For me Canvia seemed like the right choice. Though the price seemed significant at the time for what was promised I knew if it was true I would thoroughly enjoy their product and subscription service. Everything I am saying is from my experience with their product and is based on my experience. Living in the Great City of Cleveland, Ohioâ¦. A gorgeous city on an Great Lake we have access to amazing museums one of our greatest being The Cleveland Museum of Art. Due to endowments from past Clevelanders it is free for all. Wonderful works of art and sculptures are found in this museum. From Van Goghs to Monets. From Rembrandts to Picasso. All are able to see the art and the brush strokes and the use of pallet knives or chisels in a sculpture of marbleâ¦ All of these intricacies, one would think would not be visible on a digital frame device like Canvia. I was amazed at the detail and color spectrum that the engineers and artists at Canvia were able to design and build into the product. As you move or as light changes the device accommodates and adjusts. The strokes of the brush by the Masters are visibleThe Canvia offers so much more. I belong to their subscription service and get access to all sorts of great art and collections that I can play on my Canvia Frame. I can set the timing of each picture for short amount of times such as minutesâ¦.or for even days or hours. If I want to have VAN GOGHâS STARRY STARRY NIGHT on my frame for several days I can do that. Pictures of great sculptures are also worthwhile to show on the Canvia. One of my hobbies is photography and birding. So I take many pictures of birds, dragonflyâs, bees, flowers, landscapes and every so often I get a truly beautiful picture that I am proud of and which I am able to upload to my Canvia. The Cleveland Cavalier Professional Basketball Company won the Championship of the WOOOOORLD in 2016. One of my most treasured picture is of my late dog Fred, grey in the muzzle, wearing the championship hat with a bemused look on his face. Uploaded to my Canvia and when I least expect it â¦..There is Fred. On another morning it might be the lily pads of Monet or a piece of abstract art that caught my fancy and perplexes my son. The ART that I am able to expose my family to on a daily basis, almost subliminally is amazing. I believe my son has a great appreciation for ART, in large part due to The Cleveland Museum of Art and the Canvia. Art is something that is a necessity in a civilized society. It is not a luxury. We need to express ourselves in music, poetry, art, and dance. This is a product that brings some of the greatest parts of civilization into your home.I will end with the service I have received from the Canvia staff and support structure. I have mentioned the quality of the build of the Canvia Frame. It is a significant piece of equipment and the cost reflects that. It is hooked up to your homes internet and can be controlled via your computer, phone, or I pad. I have the Canvia App on my Android phone as well as my IPAD. Both can control the Canviaâs brightness, time spent on each picture, allows me to upload pictures. And allows for fine tuning such as turning it off at night or keeping it actively showing artâ¦. A beautiful night light. The frame on my Canvia is made of wood. I would think it is maple or oak. The wall attachment is significant and needs to be screwed into a stud as the Canvia Frame has a significant weightâ¦. It is not like a traditional canvas painting in weight. However where a traditional canvas painting is niceâ¦.it is a stagnant work of art..Canvia gives you art from around the world in the most dynamic and beautiful ways. When there has been a internet connection issue, subscription question, or technical issue, the Canvia support staff and engineers that I have dealt with have been incredibly responsive, getting back to me same day via email until my question or issue is resolved. I have been floored by the response of the support staff at Canvia, and to be honest that is why I am writing this review. I do not write many reviews. The product has to be exemplary in various areas for me to get the gumption to write such a review. Might it be difficult for a Luddite like me to navigate all the digital and network issues to get it up and runningâ¦.Yes but the staff and available videos will make it less stressful and very much well worth the challenge. My experience with Canvia and my enjoyment of the product has initiated this review. The Canvia has added so much to our house decor as propagating a greater appreciation for the Worldâs art. I would suggest considering this product, as my five star rating suggests.David

Good System but with 1 caution
I’ve been using this device since 2020 as I host a YouTube channel focused on light painting and wildlife photography. This device is impressive, boasting an excellent screen that seamlessly fits into any setting without looking too tech-oriented and clashing with your decor.The device comes with a selection of stock artwork for those without their own, as well as a vast library of options available through a subscription-based service. Personally, I use it as my test printing platform, displaying my photos for a week and assessing whether they still captivate me. Traditionally, photographers would print their work and hang it on the wall, but this screen saves me printing costs and makes uploading new images a breeze. It also offers automatic image rotation via iOS applications on iPhones or iPads, with Android and Windows apps available for loading and organizing your personal photo library.The tech support and response time for inquiries have been impressive. I encountered an issue with one of my screens, and the support team promptly sent me a replacement while I returned the faulty frame.I’m giving this product 4 stars for a couple of reasons. First, the applications can be a bit buggy, and the initial setup for network communication can be daunting. Even as a software developer, I found it challenging to understand initially. The second frame was somewhat easier to set up, but rest assured that once it’s configured, you can forget about the initial struggles.On my wish list is a larger screen option. While I’m not deducting any stars for this, I would love to see a 35 to 40-inch screen, and I would seriously consider purchasing it if it became available.Overall if you are an artist or enthusiast this is a MUST BUY. Believe it or not it makes you spoiled and when you do not have it around you really do miss it. I look and use and enjoy this picture frame every day weird as that sounds.

We bought this to display our own art – my Gran was a prolific amateur watercolour artist and we have nowhere near the space to hang all the paintings that I have of hers. We’re working our way through, scanning them and displaying them on two Canvias – one for portrait, one for landscape. I’m seeing paintings of hers that I’ve never seen, and that have been in the loft for years, which is lovely. We’re also uploading some of our more landscape-based/scenic photos (we found it a bit big for portrait/pet photos!).Everything looks really nice on the Canvias. The photo doesn’t really do it justice (and some time we’ll hide the wire in the wall). Depending on the lighting conditions and what you’re displaying, you could easily mistake them for framed pictures. Art sense does a particularly good job of this with oil paintings for example. I think this is one of Canvia’s real advantages over competitors.I have just a couple of minor negative points. Our first Canvia had a mark on the frame, and, looking closely, one or two other very minor quality control issues. This was a shame as the materials and build quality are generally very good. Canvia support were excellent though and very quick to respond and offer solutions, and we had no such issues with our second frame.Secondly, there are a lot of ways to connect to and control Canvias – mobile and desktop apps, and a web interface – which is great. The problem is you can’t do all the same things in every interface, so the experience isn’t very slick. My hope is that they are working on this and, where possible, will roll out all the features across all the interfaces. I’ve got more confidence that the Canvia product will keep developing than I do in the now Netgear-owned Meural.

Had a manufacturing issue with the first frame but support was fantastic and quickly rectified this. Setting up was easy and it updated the firmware through the accompanying app. Replacement unit looks great in brighter settings, this kind of technology can struggle to maintain looking like a real canvas/print in the dark due to backlighting but this may be down to my individual frame. The image is fantastic and really pops in the daytime. Artsense technology uses a sensor to determine the lighting and adjusts the image accordingly but this can be overruled and manual settings are also available so that fine tuning the image can be achieved. Personal photos also stand out and the HD image from the typical viewing distance is sharp and again, looks great.
