Dimmer Works Great with Alexa
First of all, I want to say the product works great. It is economical and exceeded my expectations. I have undercabinet LED lights linked with Alexa to turn on and off with Alexa. Alexa can also adjust the brightness of the lights from 40% to 100%. The only negative I have with the product is that its instructions are confusing. The device call itself a “New One Wi-Fi Smart Dimmer,” but the App that allows it to get on the Wi-Fi network and link with Alexa is called “Smart Home” not “New One.” The instructions on the outside of the box state, “1) Plug the device directly to the wall outlet. Once plugged in, it will enter into the Bluetooth auto-connection mode. 2) Tap #3 the manual button to include it into the network.” That is not a correct statement. You first needs to download the “Smart Home” App to your phone which connects the device to the phone via Bluetooth on which you can enter the name of the W-Fi network and the password for your network. Following that, the phone needs to create a link between Alexa and the Smart Phone App so that Alexa can control the device. Once that is done, the device works very well even though Alexa sometimes says, “There seems to be a problem.” There never is a problem, the command always executes correctly. The appearance of the message suggests there may be a little bit of a hiccup in the link between the device and Alexa. I think that may be because the device does not reach its targeted brightness immediately. It starts at 0% and increases gradually to its targeted brightness value. Since the lights I am controlling don’t energize until brightness reaches at least 40%, It may be that Alexa is not sensing the device is “on” until the brightness of the lights reaches the 40% mark. I am speculating that the time interval between 0% and 40% may be sufficiently long to trigger the “problem” remark. Otherwise, the device works great. I highly recommend it. Also, it is is very compact. It will not hog up your outlet for other plugs.

Works great!
Make sure you use dimmable bulbs. We have this lighting a 3 bulb light fixture with LED 100W (17w) dimmable bulbs. When full power it completely illuminates the room, but via Alexa, we usually keep the dimmable setting to 30%. Also through Alexa, can turn off/on the light!

Great Device, Difficult to Install
The difficulty is because the directions are so POOR! 1st: Your phone must be connected to the 2.4 GHz network of your home. 2nd: After you plug the device into an outlet, you must press and release the power button 3 times to get it into pairing mode. After that, it’s straightforward and the app does all the work. It seems so simple to include clear directions such as these. Once configured, this device works perfectly.

Could not get it to work at all. Instructions confusing. Product support is minimal.
I see all of the 4- and 5-star reviews and I believe them but my experience was the same as the other 1-star review. I could not get it to do anything except blink occasionally. (I am not a technology doofus. I have been a successful software developer my entire career; I am the guy my friends go to for tech support.) The instructions on the box and different from what the app says, and different from how the product behaves. Support is by e-mail to China; the replies are minimal. (They do seem like nice folks.) I have successfully installed an Amazon Basics switch so I think I understand the concepts. Do note that at best this device apparently does not really pair with Alexa — it pairs with its own mobile app and then that somehow is supposed to pair with Alexa — I guess — there is no overview document and as I say I never got it to work at all. And be aware that the app apparently will not work if your mobile device is connected to a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network. All in all an unhappy experience.

Keeps settings even after a power outage
I had a Kasa smart light bulb to wake me up in the morning, but every time the power went out you have to reset it. This solved that problem and doesn’t require a smart bulb.

Surprisingly easy to setup
I was afraid it would be tricky after reading some reviews but it worked like a charm. The app works very well and seems well designed and the dimming function works well which was key for me. I would recommend these..

When it works, it’s great!
So I have epilepsy and the bright lights from my Christmas tree can cause me issues. I usually have to just turn them off. I saw this on Amazon and thought this might just solve my problem. Got it and set-up was a pain in the butt. Took at least a dozen times for it to connect. Once connected to the app and also Alexa, I was very happy with it, could turn the intensity of the lights down to where they no longer bothered my eyes. Unfortunately, the plug constantly disconnected from Alexa and then I would have to go into the app. Also, it would disconnect from the app itself at times. When it works it’s really great, but I wish the kinks were worked out of the app and Alexa.
