    2K Eufycam 2c Pro set w/ solar panels
    I already have a Eufy Security system with a Homebase2 and 3 older Eufycams. The entire set is still fully functional and after recent house painting, all have been reinstalled and tuned. I’m trying this new set of Eufycam 2c Pro set. This set is not the latest and greatest build in solar cameras with 4K technology from Eufy. But it is still an upgrade with the 2 Eufycam 2C Pro 2K cameras, 2 solar panels.To start with, the cameras still use Micro USB connector, as my existing Eufycams. I was hoping for latest USB C connectors. There are 2 types of mounting hardware. The cameras still use the small little plastic mounting bracket with limited rotation while the solar panels use the metal omnidirectional brackets. I wish the set had 4 of the longer metal omnidirectional brackets as they provide the cameras with more precise camera angles for optimal surveillance coverage. The Homebase2 has been around for several years with fixed 16GB storage versus the new Homebase 3 model that can store up to 16TB with optional external capacity and other advanced AI capabilities. So these are the older tech components with this set.The Eufycam 2C Pro 2K resolution cameras is an upgrade for me. My older Eufycams are lower 1080p resolution, much bigger and heavier. The spotlight turns on automatically with motion to capture video in color.The power cord on the solar panel is not detachable. There is no coiling plate for excess cable as other panels provide to manage excess cable. The Micro USB connector is compatible with my older cameras with the same connector. Indirect light is enough to trickle charge the camera battery. The longer metal mounting bracket provides excellent omnidirectional control to point the panel to precise position to catch the most daylight. The 13ft cable is more than what I need and must be tied off to the mounting bracket otherwise it dangles as there’s no other cable management functionality.Adding the Eufycam 2c Pro cameras is very easy. It’s just a matter of adding a new camera in the app and pressing the sync button on top of the camera. A few verbal prompts on the camera and Homebase2 adds the camera to the network and the camera is recognized by the Homebase2. Then the same configuration features sets the surveillance sensitivity, power, coverage area, etc. The spotlight intensity and operation options are adjusted in the app.I did not even need the extra Homebase2, as the 2 new cameras are added seamlessly into my existing base unit. Overall an upgrade to my system with better cameras and solar panels.

    Excellent wireless security camera bundle
    We ordered the eufyCam 2C Pro 2+1 Kit with Solar Panels to replace our YI wired security cameras that were getting dated as far as features go. The eufyCam 2C is jammed with features including HD recording, night vision with built-in flood light, motion detection, advance notifications and local storage with the included Home Base 2 that does not require a cloud subscription. Set up was a breeze and very similar to the YI camera setup which is completely app based. The only wires are used to connect the solar panels to the cameras – the cameras themselves are completely wireless which is super convenient. The Cameras are easily installed thanks to the two included bases – one that can be screwed to flat surfaces and the other for round poles or branches with cable ties. The cameras have high capacity 6700 mAh Lithium batteries with 180 day battery life according to the manufacturer. We haven’t had enough time with our system so we can’t verify the battery life, but with the solar panels installed, the cameras should always stay charged and ready to go. Keep in mind that the solar panels need sunlight to do there thing so careful planning is needed for optimum charging. The video quality is amazing during the day and quite acceptable at night even without the flood lights. The cameras are able pick up fine details including faces and even license plates. The motion detection is very sensitive and our cameras were notifying us every time a car passed by our home. After a quick adjustment with the app, the cameras now only notify us when movement is detected within 20 feet of the cameras. We tested the voice feature which works ok, but we did notice a slight delay in both talking and listening modes. Overall, we are very pleased with the performance and features this camera system provides, and I believe it’s a good value for the money.
