    Bought a refurbished one with some hesitation. Saved a lot of money. Item arrived fast and was perfect. No missing parts, everything installed well and works correctly. This model has a high definition camera that is very impressive. It comes with a device to connect it to my house doorbell and it works well. This was important to me, I wanted to keep using it.Very good product, once you follow the instructions, easy to install for most people.

    Pretty good but far from great
    I feel this is one of the better smart doorbell options out there. There’s definitely been a good amount of R&D put into this product and ecosystem. Everything works well together with RING / ALEXA and my digital doorbell/transformer setup. I followed the instructions for installing and it was very straightforward. My only hiccup was needing to set the doorbell duration so that my digital doorbell dirn’t ring multiple time.sA few days after installing I initially had a day where it said my voltage was low on my transformer. I’ve since disabled the night vision mode and have not had the problem return. I may swap out my transformer and turn that feature back on but my front door is well lit so it’s not a big deal for me and no more voltage issues.The WiFi coverage in my home is decent and haven’t had any dropouts. On a busy holiday (10/31) I did encounter an issue where the doorbell lost connection (or something) and it caused our internal doorbell to ring many times. It hasn’t done this any other day/time so maybe there was a glitch in the cloud internet coverage that day?Overall I like the way this works and has been reasonably reliable. I’m not trusting it for security purposes but as a smart doorbell to alert me when folks are arriving and being able to see who’s outside it does a very good job. If I was going to use this for surveillance reasons it should include a microsd / local recording option. I know about the Ring hub plans with local recording, so it is potentially there but still subject to WiFi interference so a local storage card would be much preferred upgrade. They could enable it with active subscription to keep folks incentivized to subscribe and I’d still find it nice to have that local backup.Side note: This kit said it included a free faceplate after purchase but I never got an email with a code. I was able to get a hold of ring support and they sent me out the faceplate as advertised but it did require contacting customer service.

Whether it’s day or night, rain or shine, I can see exactly what’s happening outside my door in crystal clear detail.But it’s not just about the video – the Pro 2 also has advanced motion detection with customizable zones. That means I only get alerts when something important happens, like someone’s at the door or lurking around my property. And with the built-in Alexa Greetings, I can even have the doorbell greet visitors for me when I’m not available.Installation was a breeze too, thanks to the detailed instructions and helpful videos from Ring. And once it was up and running, the app made it super easy to customize settings and view live footage from anywhere. Overall, the Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 has given me peace of mind knowing that my home is always protected, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

    BEWARE OF GOOD REVIEWS
    I saw all the good reviews about the refurbished model of this doorbell and decided to give it a chance since I would save almost $70……what a mistake!When I opened the box there was a small scuff right on the lens, it was very small and may not have been much of an issue, so I decided to proceed with the install to see if it was okay, but didn’t get far with that…….I spent all the time disconnecting my old doorbell, wiring everything up, and then when I go to connect the new doorbell in the app, it won’t connect. I spent hours trying to get this to connect and followed many troubleshooting guides on the Ring website, nothing worked. I finally broke down and called Ring support, who was absolutely horrible. All they did was take me through the same steps of their guides, which obviously didn’t work since I already tried multiple times. And in the end the support technician just tells me to return it to Amazon, WHAT A JOKE!!! I don’t know what’s worse, the fact Amazon sold me a defective product, or the fact that Ring support is absolutely useless.Now I am stuck returning this, and Amazon won’t issue my refund for 30 DAYS because they need to “confirm the condition” of their already broken product, SERIOUSLY?If I didn’t already have a massive home system with a ton of Ring devices already, I would 100% go with a different company/security system. This experience has been so bad I never want to buy Ring products again, I’m just stuck with the stuff I have.If you absolutely want to buy Ring products, buy new, not refurbished. I can say that all of my other products were bought new and I have no issues. Guess that’s what I get for just trying to save money in this ridiculously expensive economy.
