    We have purchased three or four sets of these as gifts for my kids. They love all the difficult configurations and customization options. I love how easy it was to set up and add to the Kasa app. I do wish the adhesive held better over time, but nothing that couldn’t be remedied with fresh double sided tape in the future.

    Very Good, but not without some caveats
    This light strip was purchased to replaced my Govee LED strip installed as a TV halo on my 65″ LG. Since an update earlier this year, the Govee app has made connecting the strip to Wi-Fi impossible. Not to mention, the Govee app is just horrible in general. It was time to let it go, so I bought this Kasa Smart LED strip.I already had a Kasa Smart light bulb which works perfectly and whose accompanying app is simple, clean and, best of all, works. It was no-brainer to go with Kasa this time for the LED strip.Good: It’s bright.Has more color options than the Govee.Seems very well made.The app is pleasant to use.Not-so-good: The PU coating on the strip makes it VERY difficult to bend in a 90 degree turn, such as when lighting the rear perimeter of a TV. It is too thick to bend into a right angle at corners without protruding far out from the surface.And, because it doesn’t bend well, the not-very-good adhesive keeps lifting away as the strip gets near the corner. Every time I walk by the TV, I reach back and press the strip down hoping one day it will just stay put all the way.Also not very good is when the light strip is dimmed. I usually keep it in a soft white color (about 4000 kelvin color temperature) and at 100% brightness. When I dim it to about 15% for, say, movies, or whatever, it goes from 4000k to 1000k, which is really orange-looking. The crappy aforementioned Govee did not do this. It handled maintaining color temperature well when it was dimmed. I was bit surprised this seemingly higher quality LED strip did this.Other than those things, it is a well-made strip with a good app, so I will keep it until I find a better LED strip at around the $20-$40 price range.

    If you’re considering using Lumia stream with these lights, read this!
    I purchased these while on sale during Prime Day this year so I could upgrade my streaming room and give chat something fun to mess around with during my streams. Word of caution, while these lights work amazingly well with the app, and integrating them with Alexa was a breeze, using them with Lumia stream will probably leave you disappointed.Lumia doesn’t allow you to use any of the dynamic lighting affects that the Kasa app will, so no two different colors on the same strip or flowing between all the colors of the rainbow, and they’ll leave the light strip set to whatever color the program last broadcasted to it. It’s something you can work around, yes, but the biggest setback by far is that Lumia can’t turn the lights on and off. And in contacting their support, they’ll tell you that you need to send a message to TP-Link to get Lumia rights to do so.Best thing I can recommend if you’re considering integrating these lights to your stream is plan to have them be a background mood light that you don’t mind being solid. That’s what I’ve ended up doing with these, and I’ve done some IFTTT command writing to let me quickly swap between the Kasa presets I create within the app, but I know not everyone will want to get that nitty-gritty. That said though, these lights are bright and can easily shift a room’s mood – even when I’m not streaming, they make for great mood lighting while working from home, or when I’m hanging with the girlfriend playing Stardew.I highly recommend the lights themselves, but just be mindful that there will be some work on your end if you’d like to use these with Lumia Stream.

    Doesn’t stick to surface
    I was so excited and have never had issues with any of my Kasa products. I put the strip on a clean, dry, smooth surface and the next morning found it on the floor. Wrote to the seller and got this response:”Thank you for reaching out and We do apologize that you have encountered this issue with the light strip. Unfortunately, we do not offer part replacements for the adhesive. However, we recommend checking with local retailers or online stores for a suitable replacement adhesive. Many hardware stores or specialty shops carry adhesives that could work for your needs.”It doesn’t seem like a reasonable solution that a brand new, out of the box item doesn’t function as designed and the option is for me to spend more money to test out different adhesives. If you use a liquid adhesive, the strip will need to be clamped somehow (which will likely damage it and be difficult if it is going under a cabinet). If you try something like a 3M strip, it will now not be flush with the cabinet. Now, if you are using the entire 16.4 feet…Best of luck!

    ordered new, was sent used and DISGUSTING
    One of the 2 rolls I ordered was sent used. Heavily. It smelled and was absolutely covered in hair. The adhesive strip had been used and damaged and left a residue on the LED strip clear top. Poorly repackaged by previous owner and clearly never checked the quality of the returned product.Other strip arrived new and works like a charm. SUPER bright at 100%, wonderful colors and customizable options. Would be 5* if it weren’t for the disgusting used product I was sent despite ordering NEW.Check your order immediately upon arrival.

    La luz está muy buena, el que puedas tener múltiples puntos de color en una sola tira es un plus comparadas con otras. Lo único que le falta es que tengan un punto de memoria para recordar el último estado (on/off) para casos dónde se va la luz por corte de energía.     Resumen: Si no puedes quitar el papel protector utiliza pegamento.Buen producto, cumple con las características pero:este producto tiene adhesivo en la parte posterior con un papel protector (a manera de un sticker). Al yo estar retirándolo, el papel se rompió (ver fotos) y el resto se quedo pegado a la tira LED.Intenté quitar la película con las uñas, pero no funcionó (creo que el adhesivo ya estaba viejo), entonces decidí hacerle una pequeña incisión con una navaja para poder tomarlo con las uñas.Inmediatamente la tira LED se apagó a partir del corte en adelante.”No puede ser!” dije.Dos terceras partes de la tira quedaron inutilizables. ademas los LEDs cerca del corte quedaron permanentemente en azul, no responden a los ajustes. La incisión fue muy pequeña y la hice con mucho cuidado (ver las fotos), el circuito es realmente frágil.Dos estrellas menos porque no hubiera sucedido si el papel estuviera en buen estado, y porque los leds quedaron en azul.
