    This is hatefully annoying.
    I bought this for security purposes. This sleeps and does have a person and motion sensor. It runs on Battery and Wifi, and the longevity is good. However, the camera takes 10-15 secs to wake up and start recording by then I’ll see the back of the person’s head as they leave. I did various setting changes where I assumed it would record sooner or something. NOPE! It wouldn’t even register a car driving down my street. It only catches the mail carrier leaving my house and a random spider crawling across the lens.

    So I sent the below in a email to Swanns customer support February 14th, 2021. NEVER heard from Swann at all!!! I will NEVER recommend these products to anyone. Save your money and buy a better camera system. We replaced all these cameras with Ring cameras, even the same accessories (solar panels and mounts) and haven’t had any issues with them. Yeah they were more money but come on you wanna feel safe right? Couldn’t submit with ZERO stars, the 1 star is forced.Cameras disconnect constantly ruining the safe feeling I’m supposed to have owning them. Now 2 cameras won’t even connect at all. We also own the solar panels to keep the outside cameras consistent with their charge. They no longer charge the cameras and we’ve gotta climb up a ladder to remove them from the mounts and then bring all 3 inside to charge overnight once again making them useless as a security camera system. I’m not at all impressed with this brand or the accessories made specifically for the model cameras I bought. Oh and no damn charger box included with anything so I’m done messing with them. What a waste of money. I bought 6 cameras. 3 solar panels and outside mounts to be secure for a total of 3 months before I started having connectivity issues, charging issues, app issues the list goes on. Improve on all the mentioned items and I may purchase an upgraded system but for now I’m just done. I’ll be looking into returning them and I thankfully purchased 5 cameras with the warranty for these glorified paperweights. I’ll just have to take a loss on the 1 camera and 3 mounts. Unless of course your company can just take them all back and refund me so I can purchase a system that actually works as advertised. Such a shameful company taking people’s hard earned money on useless pieces of crap. I want my money back plus return shipping and handling on Swann.

    works fine but don’t trust the 3m strip..
    purchased a set, not though amazon but wanted to put a warning here also.. day 2 after installing using the 3m strip on the mount it failed and camera fell and lens cracked… the 3m strip I think needs to be bigger to hold I guess.. came with screws I will either use for the remaining cameras or return the whole set since 3 days after purchase 5 camera set. and yes the surface was cleaned and it appeared to felt like a solid adhering.

    I received a defective camera.
    The camera had apparently been used and returned. Unfortunately, it was shipped to me under the guise of being new. It was missing several components and the previous owner had already registered the device. Therefore, I was unable to re-register the device and found it to be nonfunctional. In addition, the instructions were not very user friendly.

    I have one installed inside the house and one installed outside but the issue is that when the camera is in sleep mode it takes awhile for it to wake up. Even then it would get stuck on an image and you will need to refresh the camera.

    I’ve had this at the front door to catch what my Swann Doorbell doesn’t catch, as it is very slow to pick up a person entering quickly. It’s been over six months now at least. Between the two “rechargeable” Swann devices, They don’t do a proper job that the two Swann plugin power point ones do out the backyard.This one is almost always offline when I go into the app, and both have really good wifi signal, battery strength etc. so I know it’s not the position they are in, I’ve tried to customise the settings in the app with clear access to people coming to the front door (which is quite open), and both cameras should pick up movement entering our property, but they do not. I would not recommend this particular camera model or the Swann doorbell. Both are fairly useless and should be bargain basement priced.

    Takes ages to “wake up”. Too slow to start recording. Might as well buy a fake surveillance camera because thats all this does. Looks good as a deterrent and no more than that. I have two at the front of the house and both dont work
