    They still working after 2 years
    I bought dozens of this and replaced all lightings in my home. This is value for money. I use it with Google assistant, and it works well. I do see sometimes they don’t connect to wifi if the modem turned off and then turned on. In such case, I need to turn off the light and leave it for 10 seconds and turn back on. since I do this rarely and this light supports wonderful set of colors, I’m leaving 5 rating. You wouldn’t regret buying these lights. on a side note, when I bought many of these lights 2 of them did not work at all, but these are not costly for a smart bulb with the good brightness and colors, so I didn’t bother.

    Super simple and works great!
    I really like this light bulb! It can be very bright and very dim. I got it for my lamp that is plugged into an outlet where I don’t have enough space to fit a smart outlet plug due to another plug using the other outlet. So with this bulb I’m able to still leave my lamp plugged in as normal and just change out the bulb to make it smart. It’s LED and we don’t use this lamp all the time so it will last a very long time until I have to replace it again. The installation was super simple. I screwed in the bulb and turned on the lamp. The bulb rotated through different colors which meant it was trying to connect to wifi. I got into the app and clicked on the light bulb I wanted to setup and everything went smoothly after that. I use it with my google home setup and it works really well! There are 42 different colors you can change between and it’s dimmable as well which is nice. My daughter loves being able to change the colors just by telling google. The same functionality would work if you’re using Alexa as well. This was a great purchase and the product works very well! I highly recommend and would buy again. I’ve been very pleased with the meross products I have and am slowly converting everything in my home to being smart. This is a great easy addition!

    Failed after 4 weeks
    I enjoyed the smart bulbs for the 4 weeks or so I had them. Today I turned them off in the morning as always, and this evening neither the Meross nor the Apple Home apps thought I had any devices whatsoever, and trying to re-add them to Home failed because the QR codes would not scan. Total waste of my time and money and I will not be getting a set of replacements, nor will I trust any product by this manufacturer after this.EDIT 16-Aug-2024Meross support was extremely helpful in working with me regarding the failed bulbs. They replaced them with new bulbs and I was able to install and use them. They are a great replacement for the more expensive name brand bulbs and work seamlessly with Apple Home

    Stopped connecting to Apple Home or Meross app
    I got this because I wanted a light that has smart features and connects to the Home app so I can turn the light on by asking Siri.This light did work as expected for about a month and a half. I loved it when it was working because it was very bright, esp for a smart bulb and was easy to get set up. Then it stop connecting to the Home app and the Meross app.I’ve tried trouble shooting and reconnecting it, which initially did work. However, I eventually had to do this every time I wanted to use the light, which defeats the purpose of having a smart light if I have to do more to get it to turn on.Now whenever I turn it on it flashes different colors (as if it’s reset to reconnect) but doesn’t connect, then remains a color I don’t want it to be.I don’t recommend this light. By the time it stops functioning it’s too late to return and I’m now left with an expensive, not so smart, lightbulb.

    Love em! You can even verbally set the color by “degrees Kelvin”!
    Love these things!I’m a mechanical engineer and am usually quite critical of many products; but these are great!I like that I can cycle the light switch off and on manually and yet when left on, the light can be turned on and off via tapping on the icon in the app or by saying “Hey Google, turn on the living room lamp” or whatever I’ve named that bulb. I initially used the app; then eventually connected it to Google Home and now I verbally turn on and off 3 room heaters and 2 bulbs before I leave work and things are as desired when I get home a half hour later. I also verbally turn on the entrance room light while still in the car so that when my arms are full of groceries, I don’t have to fumble with a wall switch in the dark.Changing light color is not needed every day, but once I get the “brightness/color” that I want, I leave it.To experiment, though, you can say “Hey Google, change living room lamp to 4500 degrees Kelvin” and it will change the color accordingly. These have a color range of 2700K – 6000K.

    Very Flawless Set Up in Apple Home
    It took 15 minutes to set up 4 lights. Be sure to scan the QR on the individual light then power up the light. The accessory’s color choices loaded with the On-Off-Dimmer control. Very straight forward.

    The new / updated model is all around better
    BEWARE! The model changes depending on the purchase option selected! The new model is brighter, has better WiFi, more HomeKit options, and hasn’t overheated for me. You want the new model!I replaced all of my lights with these. There was a firmware issue a couple years ago that has been completely fixed. I had these for years in my last apartment and none of them went out. My new apartment has 10 watt max / GU24 outlets (using adapter) and I have a couple go out each year. I think it’s from overheating from the low watt / adapter combo. I haven’t had one of these new models go out yet though.
