Quality security camera at a good price
I bought it a couple of weeks ago and I liked this camera because I read that it has a very easy setup system. It is small, just like what I wanted. The color night vision was very useful, the camera recordings are clear and sharp. The motion and sound detection is quite accurate, allowing me to keep an eye on my daughter in her room. Its compact design helps save space and its installation is very simple. It comes with its own charger. And I prefer it that way because I don’t have to worry about changing batteries. I am very satisfied with this camera that offers excellent quality, price and meets all the expectations of a reliable security system. I recommend it.

Love it !
Love the Roku cameras. You can subscribe for a membership which we might do but it’s not needed. It takes sd cards. And you can watch the camera from your phone.Only thing is sometimes they disconnect and it takes a minute to reconnect. My modem is like 6 years old so maybe I just need a newer one lol

This camera is absolute junk.
My Roku camera came in today, and I was looking forward to trying it. I performed every step in the setup process, and the camera will not complete the setup. During the setup process on the Roku app, you have to scan a QR code that displays on your telephone with the Roku camera itself. I spent a better part of 5 hours at that step. Every single solitary troubleshooting step that Roku provides, was done. Yes roku, I am using 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band, yes, the camera lens on the camera is clean, in fact it’s brand new. And the screen on my phone is clean. I tried two different Wi-Fi connections with the phone and the app and it still will not connect. I even went so far as to reset both my Wi-Fi router and my telephone. Nothing, it refuses to complete. After 5 hours of doing something that should only last maybe 5 minutes, that’s when you decide that something you just bought is a piece of junk and you regret buying it. Avoid this camera folks. So I have a $20 piece of junk sitting on my desk right now. I guess I’m just going to have to eat having my money taken away.

Good Product but needs better access control
The camera is good. I previously purchased one directly from Roku before acquiring this one. I grew weary of transferring it between the bedroom and living room to monitor my elderly father, who has dementia and is at risk of falling. The device is sufficiently functional and comes with some great features in its applications. However, it lacks a dedicated application for the Windows operating system, meaning you must manage it through your smartphoneâfor instance, toggling the camera(s) on and off or altering settings. Additionally, live viewing on a Windows computer isn’t possible; it requires the use of a phone or a Roku device to watch the camera feed live. You must have a Smartphone or Tablet Computer (that has a camera) to manage the camera(s).You must have a good Wi-Fi signal. You must subscribe to Roku Smart Home if you want to receive alerts and save/view cloud recordings. Each camera requires an independent subscription for alerts and recording to the Cloud. You must sign up for a Single Camera Subscription to get the 90-day free subscription. You cannot use 3rd party software to control or view your Roku Camera. You cannot give someone else access to just the camera feed, they’d need to login with same Roku credentials (your username and password). You can record to your Smartphone but not have it automatically triggered by movement or other events. This is fine and won’t cost you anything. However, if you need to record when the camera detects movement/sound, like if your 90-year-old father or 3-year-old gets up out of bed, or if someone comes in through the window, then you will need a subscription for each camera. Another reason this is an important feature is to be able to record and see exactly how a person fell, or if someone was going through your dresser drawers, or getting into your medicine cabinet.Currently, the price for a single camera subscription is $3.99 a month. If you have 2 cameras you need to be able to trigger events to record, it would be basically $8.00 a month. If you have 3 or more, it would be $9.99 a month (or $99.99 a year). 14-day video cloud recording retention, Smart detection, Event filtering. If you think about it, it is not a bad price at all.The basic cloud event recording only shows very short video clips. In order to record a full event, it won’t be stored on the cloud, it will be stored on a Micro SD Card.To enable 24/7 recording, or longer event recordings, purchasing a Micro SD Card for each camera is necessary. Viewing the FULL event recording(s) requires removing the SD card from the camera and using a computer or another device with an SD card slot. This method is disadvantageous in my opinion. While it’s beneficial during internet outages (if you have a home network), it proves too cumbersome for daily monitoring. And for security, it is not smart, because the SD card is in the camera. What if someone steals the camera? They’d also be taking off with your recording evidence.I do recommend this product, but I can currently only give it 4 stars because of the lack of a Windows 10/11 application to control or even view the camera feeds. I am on my computer most of the time and being able to monitor my elderly father is essential. I have to keep the feed running on a TV beside me in order to accomplish this. That is a minus in my book, as is the lack of 24/7 recording to the cloud. Having to remove the SD card from each camera to view full event recordings is fine if you need to check for a specific thing, but not for routine monitoring.

simple setup system
I liked this camera because I read that it has a simple setup system. The color night vision has been very helpful, providing clear and sharp images. The motion and sound detection are quite accurate, making it easy for me to keep an eye on my baby in the room. Its compact design helps save space, and the installation is very straightforward. Even though itâs a wired model, I preferred it that way since I donât have to worry about replacing batteries. Overall, this camera offers excellent value for money and meets all the expectations of a reliable security system.

Perfect for home
Great indoor camera for the price! The 1080p HD video quality is clear, even at night. Easy to set up and works well with Alexa and Google. Motion and sound detection work as advertised. A solid choice for home security. And it really help me to see my kids when I am at work and speed also good.
