It works, but….
The need for the Zigbee Hub is not made clear$$. Didn’t come with a switch cover plate; I have 3 over types that did come with covers. The instructions say two master switches are needed on a four-way system, but only one is needed if you keep your hands off the two remaining switches. The instructions could explain how to identify the live wire at switch #3, but don’t. There is more room in the last switch box (#3). My house was built in 1973 and remodeled. Updating the electronics is never simple. Switch is in and working well with Alexa.

Will not connect. The need to charge the second switch is ridiculous at this price
Will not connect, the charging of the non-primary switch is both inconvenient and and very dumb. I will be returning.

Add on is battery operated
The master switch is fine. The add on is battery operated and connects to the master. It holds a charge for a year roughly and when the add on battery is dead you have to remove it from the wall and wirelessly charge it. Ridiculous. Not for 50 bucks

Almost 5 stars
I am only giving this 4 stars, because the item description is not very accurate. But, the product works excellently. I have an old house, with simple wiring for the light switches in some rooms. There is no neutral or ground in those switch boxes. I have Alexa, and use it to control most of my lights, fans and other devices in my house. I got this Zigbee to see if it would work to control the fan/light in my office. It does, and on just two wires! It appears that it draws a small amount of current through the fixture to power itself, and is why it does not need a neutral. I tested that by pulling the chains on my fan/light so they were both off, and the Zigbee’s indicator light went out.I know that the wall switch will only turn on the current settings on my fan/light, but until I completely rewire it, it does what I need.As for the misleading description . . . The add-on switches are just wireless remotes, that do not need to be attached to you electrical system. They have a rechargeable battery, that is supposed to last up to a year, and charges with a cell phone inductive charger. That can be a little inconvenient, since you have to remove it from the wall and put it on a charger. You can, however, just have the add-on switch lying around, and use it like a remote control. Also, I use a BOND hub to run all my fans, and my outside string lights. It uses radio frequencies to control them by learning from your remotes. I used the BOND to learn the remote code from the add-on switch (which was synced to the master switch) to teach it the proper code. And, in turn, now it is connected and working with my ALEXA too.So, I would say that this is exactly what I needed, and worked well with my setup. I did not really need an ad-on switch, but it was necessary to program my BOND. If anyone needed a 2-wire switch, and needed the ability of three way switching (and apparently up to 20 way) and did not want to rewire to do so, and also needed Alexa capability with a hub, I would recommend this!

Works Great!
When I first received this pack of three way wireless switches it was confusing. The description on the website says you need a Zignee hub for them to work. Before I installed them I set them up with a light and programmed them. They worked perfectly. Then I set them up on the Alexa app to see if they worked as a smart switch. They again worked great. So I’m not sure why a Zignee controller is need at all. I do recommend these switches.

Ad is not clear
I thought that I was getting two three way switches. What I got was one switch with two wires coming out the back and one switch with no wires coming out of it. The ad also said Zigbee hub is required. I canât use this expensive thing and I canât return it. Iâm including pictures so buyers can see what theyâre getting.

niche product that fills a need for old houses
It’s hard to find a no neutral zigbee switch, so I was interested to give this one a try. This is good for old houses that don’t have neutral wiring. A lot of those old houses also don’t have a 3 way switch setup for rooms, so this is an interesting way to add one. It would have been better for the add-on switch to have a hidden charge port so i could charge it without removing it from the wall.I would also prefer that the add-on switch was just something to stick on the wall. If you have a box to put this in, you are probably re-wiring a lot of things anyway. This could also be used in any normal 3-way setup, but you will need to do some re-wiring to disable the normal 3 way wiring setup. No instructions are included, so you must scan the QR code to go to a website. Not the best if you want to remember how this works in 5 years when the company has changed their website. The switch is smaller than other smart switches, but it’s also entirely plastic. No ground wire or even grounding to the electrical box. Uses pigtails, so the smaller space savings is lost a bit when trying to wire this into your electrical box.
