Good product
This is my 3rd buy. The product is solid. It can be easily mounted on the wall. The view angle is good and the camera rotation is smooth and noise-less. If you want video history, you need to buy a micro-SD card. Considering the price, I don’t think I should complain about anything so far.

Waste of Money and Time
There was nothing redeeming about this product. I followed all the instructions. I spent literally hours trying to set it up, with the help of a friend of mine who works in IT. And it did not work. Would not recommend buying this.

Overall, this home camera has been fantastic.Picked it over some of the other more expensive ones as I had read that the night time camera quality was as good as if not better – hasn’t disappointed and ended up purchasing a second one. Day / Night quality is fantastic, good range of motion and has good audio recording as well.Setup for the first one had took a little longer due to the QR code recognition, see tips & tricks below on how I worked around it. Mobile app was easy to install, once up and running has been flawless. Able to easily go back and see when footage was recorded / playback without any lag.Would definitely recommend if you want to be able to monitor inside – lots of automation features e.g. notifications, record only movement, sleep during specific hours. Works well on wifi and also when out of home.Tips & Tricks:When setting it up, sometimes the QR code may not read from the camera – reading on another site, it was recommended to take a screenshot on your phone and send it to a laptop to be able to make it larger. This worked perfectly. Second time around (we purchased another one) I just held it up for ~15-20s and it recognised it without any issues.When installing the micro SD Card, I needed to put it into a laptop first, format it as ExFAT32 or FAT32, then put it into the camera you have to go to the camera -> settings (3 dots right corner) -> storage settings -> SD card features -> format SD card. This should change it from “error” to “status normal” and allow you to record.To share camera with another phone, install the app and register using Mobile # or email – get the User ID and use to share – works without any issues.

This is my second purchase of this particular camera. It works very good. Has good overall image quality, good build quality and does a great job. It might be a bit more expensive than your average “made in china” cam, but definetly worth your money. I tried two other brands and was not happy with either the camera or the software. One of the other brands had a very high sensitivity even on low setting and detected as a movement even the slightest ray of light reflection from a car passing by on the street. And once the “cloud trial” period was over, no more online storage. The second brand would not play videos if the camera was off.This Xiaomi plays the videos even if the camera is off, doesn’t trigger an alarm every 10 minutes (literally) and overall the experience is better than what I’ve tried. If you’re looking for no headache, easy install and use then buy it. It’s not perfect but it’s close. Might be a bit longer than average to set it up the first time when you scan the QR code but it’s only once.
