    great idea, decent excecution
    if you have an outside lamp you can swap out the bulb with this socket and but the bulb back on to it. This will add a usb socket to your outside set up, and you can add a Wyze came v3 or v4 to the socket. when done this way (and only this way, this socket can’t be controlled by other Wyze cameras, a shame), the socket can be controlled by the camera so now you have a motion detection enabled light socket.In practice this works well, esp if you are renting or if your HOA won’t let you add floodlights to the outside wall. the only issue is you need to make sure your lamp can take the added height this socket needs. the included usb flat cable also comes with cable routing clips, but the cable itself isn’t overly long so you might need to buy a micro usb extension cord. over all, a great product, esp if you are already in the Wyze ecosystem.

    Work perfectly for just use as a power source
    While the other features can be finicky (one refuses to connect to the camera) but the other two I have purchased work fine with the cameras, if you just need it as a convenient power source it will work perfect for that setup. Especially useful if getting to an outlet would require drilling or hiring an electrician to install another outlet. A bit expensive but when your options are slim it will help get your camera network going.

    What I like the most about this Wayze socket is it’s so easy to use with the app. Love the fact I can still get power to the socket for the security camera hookup and with a Wayze bulb you can program the bulb in the off position as well other functions. I prefer it to turn on when detecting motion. Better than expected. Have another on for outdoor lighting with outdoor security camera as well. In both cases the socket and the bulbs are covered from the elements. Durability has not been determined as of yet. So as long as you have internet connection your good to go. Loose power and a reboot to devises are still a guess at the moment. Will follow up as we get into the winter.

    Works Great, Easy setup
    This works great for my wyze camera required, no hardwiring and you can set a time timer so that the light goes on and off when you want it to. Was able to hook up my camera to my porch light very easily. Highly recommend wyze products they are top notch!

    Great for powering a nearby V3 cam, but sunrise , sunset schedule fails to work
    Update: after physically rearranging my 3 sockets, moving the one with the most recent MAC address to be directly connected to my v3 cam, the entire group have been working flawlessly! Updating to 5 stars.I bought the first one to power a new V3 camera off a garage mounted porch light, and for that, it works well. Discovered that it was “smart”, and could operate additional units as slaves, awesome! Bought two more to go in my front entry porch lights! Set the sunrise and sunset schedule. They turn off in the morning just fine, but fail to come on at night, until cycle the porch lights power completely! Using the app to cycle just the sockets doesn’t fix it However, even though the socket loses its lunch to power the light bulb, it still provides power to the V3 camera! Very odd behavior. So, I could do away with any scheduling, and just leave my porch lights on 24×7, but it sure would be nice if the scheduling feature actually worked consistently.

    best thing to ever be created for cameras! I don’t ah e outdoor outlets and I rent so this was a heaven send! They work great and we’ve had no issues. I’ll be buying the light bulbs soon so we do t have to leave the porch like on all day long.

    works with OG camera, but misleading capabilities (does not make lights smart)
    I have a Wyze OG camera and this socket adapter provided power to it perfectly. very happy on this.however, this feature of the socket ” Converts standard bulbs into motion-activated security lights. ” will NOT work, meaning it will not make your lights smart, unless you have a Wyze v3/v4 camera attached to it. I wish it was more spelled out in the product description.

    Not Compatible with Wyze Cam Pan V3
    This would be a great product to use with the Cam v3 but definitely not with the Cam Pan v3. It comes with it’s own cable with a unique USB end to fit into the angled lamp socket. However, the end that plugs into the camera does NOT fit into the Cam Pan v3. Upon further research I found this was intentional because the lamp socket does not provide sufficient power required by the energy draw of the pan feature of the camera. Unfortuantely I did not try to install it until after the return window closed so I am unable to return it. I still gave it 5 stars because being able to use a camera in a place that has an existing outdoor light is a perfect solution instead of running extension cords to power it up.

    Este adaptador es muy fácil de instalar y configurar. Es muy sencillo programar reglas una vez que lo das de alta en la app de WYZE. Totalmente recomendado pues facilita la instalación de cámaras donde no hay contactos
