    App no longer on Play Store
    Device worked fine first 2 seasons. New phone this year, so searched the Google Play store. Nothing! Chatted with Woods and told them I couldn’t find it. They connected me with an overseas tech that told me the app was no longer in the store for security reasons. He said he could get me the app, but I would have to pay to use it. I told him thanks, I would dispose of the plug and buy from a competitor.Before purchasing, make sure you can download their app. Maybe still available for I Phone?

    Ran outdoor Christmas lights with these
    I decided to upgrade our Christmas light timers this year and went with a few orders of these WiOn timers and loved them. They were outside in Kansas City winter weather – in rain – snow – cold – etc. They worked perfectly and used our home WIFI signal from outside. One setup was in my detached garage and still worked. The app was easy but the interface has a little strange feature that your named device has to be at the bottom of the digital selection wheel to set up. This took me a while to understand and I felt was not intuitive. You can turn things on and off from any place on the wheel – but only change if at the bottom of the wheel. But besides that – they were awesome and worked perfectly under every condition. Highly recommend them.

    Doesn’t work with IOS 16!
    UPDATE: 10/16/22: Had this product for years including multiple outdoor versions and although the app setup isn’t the most user friendly I managed. Now that my current IPhone has upgraded to IOS 16 recently the app no longer works which stinks as I mentioned these WION/Woods units control a bunch of stuff inside and outside my home! When I emailed customer support last month (Sept) they said Apple hasn’t released info to app developers so I am SOL. I have a few hundred dollars invested in their products and now I am not able to control the units or change the timing? I had the FEIT WiFi Bulbs in my two outdoor lamps and the FEIT app works fine! I ended up ordering a few of the FEIT outdoor outlets and they were a piece of cake to set up. I am now waiting for the FEIT indoor outlets to arrive so I can exchange the WION/Woods wifi outlets with the FEIT costing me another couple of hundred bucks! Thanks for nothing WION/Woods! I will definitely NOT be purchasing anything else by these companies!I have been using Eco WiFi Outlets for the last year and love them! App is excellent IMO and easy to set timers! I love the outdoor 2 outlet timers from Eco Plugs. They are hard to get ahold of and I found out recently they are now the Woods WiOn Company so I ordered this in the hope it would setup with my current EcoPlugs App and it does! I use it for my Christmas lights. Every so often I have an Eco Plug Outlet lose connection and I have to unplug and re-insert it into power and it usually reconnects easily. It doesn’t happen enough to be a pain in the a$$ yet and I truly enjoy the convenience of these WiFi outlets. I will be purchasing more of the Indoor ones from this manufacturer in the future.

    Edit** spoke with support again. They apologized, stating the previous texh was confused about my issue. Then they tried to hook me saying they charge for assistance. Nice.Worked fine the first couple seasons, now won’t connect and customer service is poor. Customer support number not picked up. They used a chat session to cue “tech support” to call. Though my app and device were not connected, they ensured me my network was not secure. They further insisted, until I asked where they are getting this information. Would not answer question, then line went dead.Really liked them at first. Now, not so much.

    Does what I wanted, super-reliably
    We have an outdoor fountain that I wanted to control from my phone, so I started looking for a smart outlet on Amazon. I tried two or three standard models with no success–the main problem is that the outlets kept losing wifi connectivity after a few days and needed to be rebooted, which is a huge pain when the outlet is outside the house and around the corner. In contrast, this Wi-on outlet never loses connectivity and has always worked flawlessly, for about 9 months now. The software is very simple and easy to use, and my wife and I can both control it at any time from her Android phone and my iPhone with no problems. That’s exactly what I was looking for. I like this outlet so much I just ordered a second one to hook our outdoor lights into–although we have a transformer for our lights that has an auto-timer feature built in, the Wi-on outlet’s timer is so much more reliable and functional that I’m just going to disable the automatic timer on our transformer and plug the transformer into the Wi-on instead. Then I’ll have one Wi-on running the fountain and another running the lights, all working through a single app on my phone (and my wife’s phone), and turning the lights on automatically at sunset and off around the time we go to bed.

    APP ALTERNATIVE IS ECOPLUG (CONNECT TO GOOGLE ASSISTANT) – WION is not of APP store or google play.
    For many, the app is not available anymore for app store or google play under the name WION. It is no w under eco plugs. Download, set up google assist, alexa etc and the rest works as it should.

    Was fairly easy to set up. WiFi strength definitely leaves little to be desired. The programming was super easy and user friendly. As long as the Wifi is not the deciding factor, I would 100% recommend this product. By the way we use it to turn our outside lights (from Costco) on and off on the timer.
