Works great, even after Hurricane Milton’s flood water
I bought this a year ago and used it briefly before I had to take it down for house renovations and lost it after I stored it away.Fast forward to a week ago, Milton completely flooded my shed where this was stored. I just plugged it in and threw it out into the Florida sun and I kid you not, 19% battery after a couple of hours (my wireless nest camera was completely dead). This thing is definitely rugged if you’re worried about water exposure. I’m impressed.

The Wasserstein solar panel works great with my Nest outdoor cam
I was skeptical that the Wasserstein solar panel would supply sufficient power to my Nest outdoor cam as it uses a lot of battery power during the night when the night vision IR light is on. I was surprised how well the solar panel recharges the cam battery during the day. A great product.

Works Fantastic
The solar chargers work fantastic. I have the google nest battery cameras. I mounted one camera in my driveway about 12 foot high and the 2nd camera on my deck about same height. You need an extention ladder to reach the driveway camera. The last thing i wanted was to get ladder out everytime the cameras needed charged. So after researching a ton I purchased 2 of the 3.5w solar chargers. So my driveway camera charge went fast but that was my fault for having it look at everything lol. So the camera said 3 days charge left but I already ordered the solar chargers so I waited 2 days for them to arrive. They arrived and I installed the solar charger without charging my nest camera. It’s been 4 days now and both cameras are staying charged which means this old guy doesn’t have to get the ladder out and charge cameras and not have them in place incase something g happens. If I’m going to say anything bad about the product; it’s the plastic mounting brackets. They’re not horrible but the quality could be better. The plastic is pretty sturdy but definitely not the best. The mounts take 2 screws. The solar panel base does rotate so you can position which way you want the solar panel to face. My garage camera I set to stay so no adjustments ever needed again. My deck I can change angle of solar panel and been moving it around a bit to catch as much sun as possible. All said and done; I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND them. They work fantastic. It’s only been 4 days. Remember one of my cameras was 1 day from needing charge and after hooking up the solar i havent needed to charge my cameras.I posted pics of the mounts, like I said, not horrible but could be better. You won’t be disappointed with the solar charger.UPDATE: no sun for 3 days now, rainy season is here. Solar panels are still working 100%. Haven’t had to charge my cameras since I purchased the solar panels. I’m 100% satisfied.

Great solar panel
I have a few cameras up pretty high (ladder needed) and these solar panels did the trick to set the camera up and forget it. Easy mounting and setup. My only suggestion to Wasserstein would be to offer a shorter cable. My cameras are mounted less than a foot from the solar panel and there is a lot of cable that I’ve tried to hide behind the solar panel.

Works as advertised
I got one two-years ago and live in Washington State on the rainy side. It is placed on a side low light side, in as best of a position as I could get it. And it has worked great, I have never had to charge that cam!

From Day 2 thru 25, So Far So Good……
Ordered 28May, received 31May, mounted 03Jun. 2 days later, today, so far so good, it is charging by solar, at least showing so, per the infinity displayed since installing. Been very fortunate to have been getting great sun access these past 2 days. The camara was fully charged when solar mount was installed & its only been 2 days so honestly the jury is still out but so far no noted issues or complaints.Update: 1 month since received, 25 days used, cam still charging still showing infinity solar powered, no breaks at all, working as well as expected. All said, it’s been summer sunshine, real test sure to come in the future cooler climate & far less sunny season. But for now, satisfied & would recommend. ððð¾

Still have to charge camera
Charged camera fully before mounting the solar panel and hooking up the camera to it. Camera will most likely be dead by the end of the week since i donât think the solar panel is working as if should.

Works with Nest!
This solar panel works with my Nest camera. It allowed me to move the camera to a better position in my back yard.

I honestly don’t remember the last time I’ve taken my best camera down to charge the battery. The cord is nice and long so i was able to mount the unit at the top of the roofline where it gets almost all day sun.

The panel works as advertised. Installation is very easy as well. I’ve installed it on cloudy day at winter where the temperature was around -3 outside , and after one hour it was charged about 1%. On sunny days it will than charge faster. I’m happy with this product.

Very easy to install. It took less than 5 minutes from start to finish. Home app shows infinite charge “Solar”. It only displays battery level if if get down to 20% or so. I think a lot of people using anything solar would like to see battery level all of the time. It would be great to see how quickly it charges. I suspect this has more to do with Google than Wasserstein. I’d imagine they are restricted in how this works by Google. Another gripe I have is you can’t do 24/7 video recording while connected to the solar device. You are restricted to events only. Again I’d imagine this is a Google requirement.I like it. I do think connecting to a mains supply is a better option if you are close to the power supply. This would give you 24/7 recording. However if you aren’t near a power supply then the solar is a great product. You need to get into your head that you still have a battery product being charged by solar rather than a Nest cam with a power supply. As I pointed out your camera wont function with the likes of 24/7 recording using the solar.Great product. I do believe it’s limitations are down to Google requirementsEDIT: I liked this so much that I bought a second one for another camera. If the had an option for a longer cable I would buy a third one. Sun is at the back of the house. I would need to install on the back side of the chimney to power a camera on the front (shaded) side of the house.2nd Edit: I just thought I’d update again with how it preformed during the winter. I live in Dublin, Ireland we can have as little as seven hours of daylight during the winter & not much sunshine. The solar panel preformed very well. I had absolutely no issues. I’m actually thinking of adding another one for a camera at the front of my north facing home.
