No ability to turn off the built in night light
The product connects well with smart life app. The only reason Iâm giving this 1 star is so that the developers of the product hopefully read the feedback. What a lousy idea to include a nightlight that canât be turned off. Also the unit is bulky for a single WiFi plug since the newest ones now have a smaller footprint. So good on connectivity but bad on design and forethought. Price was good.

I’ve read some issues with the Google Home app, but with the Smart Life app and Alexa it was a seamless and ridiculously easy process.Plugged the unit into the wall, held down the button until the small LED started flashing. Opened my Smart Life app, pressed the “+” button to add a new device, and the app found it immediately and added it. Closed Smart Life and opened Alexa, went to devices, and Alexa found and added the switch without me doing a thing more.If your Alexa already has the Smart Life skill, adding this switch couldn’t be any easier.The night light on the switch shines down from the bottom and is always on. It’s not very bright, so it shouldn’t be distracting. I do wish it could be turned off, but that’s not a dealbreaker.In the three months we’ve been using these switches we haven’t had any connectivity issues. They operate properly and don’t lose signal.Especially appreciate the design, you can fit two switches into one outlet because of the shape, unlike those round switches.

They work well at a reasonable price
These are compatible with the Smart Life app despite the instructions telling you to download yet another unknown app. I didnât bother as they worked with Smartlife. If they didnât I wouldâve sent them back because I already have way too many apps on my phone and itâs getting out of hand.They registered immediately and weâre picked up by Alexa so didnât have a problem with that. They do have a 15 amp limit so youâre not going to use them on the higher draw devices. But I kind of like the way they look and they function exactly as theyâre supposed to. Theyâre cheaper than the other ones I was looking at.Not much else to say except the build quality feels very good and the fit and finish is above that of some of the other plugs I have. So they definitely look and feel like premium outlets. And you get four of them for the price so I am satisfied.

Nice smart plug that also works with my HomeSeer automation system
There are a lot of these Smart Plugs out there but this one adds a nice feature. It includes a night light. The night light only comes on at night as it includes a light sensor. It added easily to the SmartLife App where you can control it. It has options to have it either power up On, Off, or the last power state (in the case you lose power). Many do not have this option. There is an indicator LED on it and there are various settings as to how that LED operates (show the load status or turn it off). As a bonus this works with my HomeSeer system (and probably any automation system that supports Tuya devices). Through HomeSeer I have more control over automations. Unfortunately, you do not have control over the night light, it will always be on at night. It would have been ideal to be able to turn that off if desired.
