Works perfectly !
My wife wanted to change our light switches from the toggle style to the decorative/paddle style. So i figured i buy a couple of wi-fi switches. It’s so convenient at night not to have to get out of bed to turn off the light switch, just tell alexa to turn off bedroom light (I know, lazy). The plan for the second switch was to control an outside light, because with this smart switch you can go on the app and set a schedule for when you want the light to come on and go off (on at sunset, off at sunrise). While shopping on Amazon for smart wi-fi light switches I found these for $17 apiece, and with Prime shipping. Other “Big name” switches were priced much higher but did not offer anymore features/options than did these treatlife switch. I purchased these two switches the 5th of April 2020, so I’ve been using them for a little over a month w/ absolutely NO problems whatsoever, works exactly as described, does everything I need/want. Shipping was fast, quality packaging, and easy to install. IF you don’t have a basic understanding of electrical wiring, have a pro do it! If you decide to install yourself ALWAYS turn off circuit breaker for the switch your replacing. It comes w/ 4 wires coming out the back; Green for ground, Black wire (also called Line or Hot wire), Red wire (also called the Load wire), and lastly a White wire for neutral (you MUST have a neutral wire inside your switch box in order for this product work, often if you do have a neutral wire it will not be connected to your current switch, there will just be two or more of these White wires connected together w/ a plastic “wire nut” screwed over the top of the ends of them. You will have to take that wire nut off your White wire neutral “bundle”, wrap the White neutral wire coming out of the back of your new switch around that White wire neutral bundle, then re-secure the wire nut over the ends of your White neutral wires. Anytime you secure/connect wires w/ a wire nut you always want to gently tug on the wires afterwards to ensure they are properly secured).It comes w/ a single gang/switch plate cover, but I did not use it because I placed switch in a double gang (2 light switches) application. The app used to control this switch using your cell or ipad is called Smart Life, it is very user friendly, easy to install and operate. You can turn this switch on and off by either pushing the button/switch itself, turn it on and off using the Smart Life app on your device/cell/ipad, OR you can turn it on/off with voice command using either alexa or google home. This is a great product at a great price that I would highly recommend !!

Works, once you get it programmed!
Finally got this switch to function properly (I think!). Programming is not at all intuitive or simple! However, to give credit to the vendor/manufacturer, it has a support staff who are quick to respond to requests for help. Unfortunately, what they believe you are seeing on your cell phone screen and what you are actually seeing are slightly different, requiring some trial-and-error on your part. It has been working properly for several days now with a simple 7-day, on/off timed function, controllable from my cell phone. The only other downside is that the mounting flanges are made of plastic, not metal like most switches, and therefore not as resistant to breakage/damage when trying to screw this very thick switch into an already crowded electrical box. No “snapping” sounds like older mechanical timer switches when turning off or on. Will update review with any positive or negative comments, if observed.

Smart switch installation went great. No issues. Had problems connecting to phone, but was user error. Before discovering the error I did contact company. Very timely response and several suggestions. Note that this does not work on 5GHz WiFi freq. May need to adjust router settings temporarily during set up.Switch works great using iPhone and iPad. Timer setting work great as well.

Like all the Treatlife switches, these work extremely well and always stay connected to my network. I really like the ability to change the indicator light to “on” when the switch is turned “off”. Handy at night to locate the switch.

The biggest issue I have is the relay noise. It is very disturbing and it happens very often. Other than that installation and setup is pretty easy and quick. I wish the light indicator on switch would be brighter.
