Perfectly Sized and Fast Setup
This review is for TP-Link Tapo Apple HomeKit Smart Plug Mini, Compact Design, 15A/1800W Max, Super Easy Setup, Works with Siri, Alexa & Google Home, UL Certified, 2.4G Wi-Fi Only, White, Tapo P125(2-Pack). I waited way too long to get this mini smart plug! I had a giant Century timer that used pins to set the timer and it worked fine but itâs just not as convenient and a hassle to set up. Out of the box, it was very easy to set these guys up. I just plugged each into the outlet and opened my Tapo app to add the devices. It took me less than a minute to set up each of them and I was off and running. These devices can also be updated to run the latest software, which is great! I used these smart plugs to schedule grow lights for my monstera and sansevieria plants. They work perfectly. The lights turn on and off when my other Aerogarden lights come on. I can set these to turn on and off using my location for sunset / sunrise or set my own custom schedule. There are so many options in the Tapo app as to how I want to run them. Note: Check to make sure that the electronic device can be left in an âOnâ state first before purchasing these mini plugs because some devices automatically default to the âOffâ state when power is cut off and remain in the âOffâ state until manually turned on. These plugs will not automagically fix that issue! I have several grow lights that are always in âOffâ state even when power is turned back on and they will stay âOffâ until I manually turn them on with their controller or buttons. I cannot use these mini plugs or any type of automatic timer for that matter with those grow lights. Overall, these are really excellent mini smart plugs. They hardly take up any outlet space, unlike my last timer, and they are very easy to set up and operate through the Tapo app. See their video on the product page on how to set up the plugs, if itâs not clear. However, I found it to be very easy and intuitive to set up. I would give these mini smart plugs a 5.0/5.0 – 10/30/2024.

Excellent for the energy conscious
I absolutely love these smart plugs. I had a few of the Kasa ones that I was introduced to on Prime Day last year when Amazon coupled them with the Echo dots, but these are a step better than those. While the Kasa monitors energy consumption, this breaks down the usage to show where the spikes are, and also a monthly view of how much kwh your appliances use daily. Very practical device and not very big.Quick and easy setup and def value for money. The energy monitoring seems to be real time, because as soon as I turn on/off a device, the wattage changes. Great buy!

Easy to pair and works well
TP-Link Tapo Smart Plugs are easy to pair with Bluetooth. After they are paired, they work with WiFi nicely. Directly paring with WiFi is not easy. With the smart phone app, they show recorded the energy usage of the plugged in device(s). They can be scheduled to power off plugged device(s).Comparing to SONOFF S31 WiFi Smart Plug with Energy Monitoring, the Topo plugs are far easier to pair with the phone. The Govee Smart Plugs, while easy to pair, do not record the energy usage.

Good energy mgmt plug
I already have a dozen EM plugs (good to micro manage your ToU power) from another vendor but decided to try these on a good sale. They’re fine, but there are a few slight downsides I noticed, compared to 3R. First is the size, they’re a little bigger (deeper and wider), so your exact plug configuration could be affected (2 will fit in 2 regular outlets, no worries.) Second is, yes you have to install them through (yet another) Tapo app… This is the Only place you’ll get all their EM data, nicely graphically displayed. (Yes, they can then be installed under SmartThings as a partner brand, but you can only see/control On-Off and simple timing routines in ST.) The last detail is I can’t find a continuous running total of kWH! They show kWH per day week month and year, but that implies on January 1 everything resets. This is an issue if you’re recording your data and calculating energy use per time interval that’s not one of the above. If you already have a Kasa or TP-Link smarthome then these probably fit right in. If you have a SmartThings home like I do, then there’s a little bump. But the plugs work fine as smart plugs if the form factor and other issues aren’t a problem for you.

There are plenty of other brands out there, but I selected Tp-Link H105 because it’s the most compact version, as in it doesn’t block the other plug hole, and it comes with a great App that is full of features. The WiFi in this plug is solid, so it’s great for those times when you need to reset a remote camera, or a light, fan, TV… whatever…The scheduler option is great, specially the Dusk and Dawn function, it’s great for lights you want to auto come on at night and off during the day.but the most important thing of it all, the H105 is reliable, it always works even when your WiFi is unreliable. The Kasa App is easy to use and intuitive, unlike other IoT Apps.I’ve had these for several years, then I recently decided to add even more of these plugs because they work so well.

He visto opiniones de que no soportan tanta potencia pero en mi caso no querÃa usarlos para equipos de alta potencia, funciona bien para cosas de uso doméstico comunes, mide el consumo, ademá tiene distintas funciones de programación y rutinas.
