Super good!
First of all the cord is much more supple and flexible so it made stretching it out really easy. Everything plugged in tight and the switch works perfectly. I’m using It to control a floor lamp that is difficult to access behind the couch. So much better!

Works with the right bulb
This product does not work with a standard LED lightbulb. You have to have a regular lightbulb or a dimmable LED lightbulb. This isnât really a flaw, just something you should be aware of. Once I changed out my lightbulb, this works well and I do enjoy being able to dim my light on my nightstand, so I donât keep my husband up. It was easy to install. Basically you just plugged the lamp into this cord and use the sliding dimmer to work the bulb. I canât turn the light off completely using the dimmer, so I still have to reach up and turn the light off manually when I want it off completely. One other thing that really bothers me is that this is a hard plastic dimmer box so it slides around on my nightstand. It seems like functionally, They shouldâve put some rubber feet on the back to keep it from sliding around. It is a reasonable option to easily add dimmer capability to a standard lamp.

Dimmer works well.
Definitely need to use dimmable bulbs with this. It will flicker unless on high while using otherwise. Works well when proper bulb is utilized. Have purchased twice.

I love it
I had bought a light to put at the entrance of my shop. The light was way too bright. This did the trick.

Great for Christmas trees
This works great for dimming my Christmas tree lights. I still like the old-school mini incandescent lights and this lets me run the tree at about 50% brightness which has a softer glow vs. full brightness. This also runs the lights cooler so they last longer if we keep the tree on a lot. The dimmer on/off control on a cord is handy. No more climbing behind the tree.

Very useful
This is a useful item–it is not as useful as another design I have (which, sadly, is no longer carried by Amazon), but it is still helpful. It lacks a light of any sort when it is turned off, so one has to find it by feel. The cord is not all that long (do check its length), though it works well enough. One does have to “click” it off when one gets to the very end, as otherwise the item will stay slightly powered, but it does click off soundly. It does have good rubber feet on the bottom to keep it from skidding easily. Overall, it is okay, though I like the design of other such items better.

Fantastic for my bedside lamps. I used 3m removable sticky things ( from 3m removable hangers) to affix to table lamp bases. Now we have fully adjustable lighting.Note that if you use led bulbs, they must be the dimmable ones. Highly recommend.

Both dimmers work as they should, as long as the lights you want to control are smooth dimming/dimable and under 360w total electrical load. I wanted to use these controllers with dimable LED filament bulbs, but I was not happy with the smoothness of the fading/flickering (partly due to the LED bulbs I wanted to use). I eventually decided to use a single 40w incandescent bulb with each dimmer. The dimming up and down is now very smooth without any hum noise from the slide control box or bulb. I really didn’t want to use incandescent bulbs with the dimmers, because our family has been trying over the past few years to limit our electricity usage for various things in out home, and using LED Filament/COB bulbs have helped greatly in that regard, but considering that these dimmers are being used sparingly in a bedroom setting, and most of the time it’s only used to give off a gentle light (amber’ish colour, which is easier on the eyes at night) while watching TV, or when reading a book in bed… the amount of electricity the 40w incandescent bulb actually uses while dimmed down almost all the way, is rather minuscule, and the bulb barely gives off any heat at that light output level. If I eventually find an LED Filament/COB bulb that has very smooth dimming capabilities (that doesn’t cost a lot of $’s), I might switch out the incandescent bulbs for that. Until then, I’m happy with how it’s working right now.Btw, the plug end of the dimmer that connects to the wall outlet (that you use to plug your light’s plug connector into), only has two prongs, which means you can’t (or at least you’re not supposed to) use a grounded appliance/fixture with a 3 prong connection plug.
