Still needs more love
Thirdreality has some bugs to work out first before these become awesome.I’m really happy this company is making bulbs; competition is good. However, as of right now, doing anything complex with these bulbs will not work. If you’re going to use them as a basic smart bulb (on/off manually, changing colors), they work great and are very responsive. An unintended feature is also that they worked in a dimmer fixture if set to max (still don’t recommend, dimmers vary by manufacturer).Adding them to an automation or setting up a scene (at least in Home Assistant) does not work at all. The automation and scene will run, and Home Assistant will say they’re on, but they aren’t. Interestingly enough, if I manually turn the bulb on and off, it’ll be set to exactly what the automation should have done.I can’t recommend them as a tinker or a HA hobbyist right now, but if you’re using them for a bare minimum situation and don’t mind using your phone every time you need them on/off, do it. They work well.EDIT:Changed my review to 5 starts.THIRDREALITY released a new firmware update that fixed all the issues customers complained about.I love seeing a company listen to its customers and promptly provide a solution. They get my money.

Great Bulbs…but
Edit: THIRDREALITY just pushed an update that fixes the brightness issues, changed to 5 stars! So far these are great Zigbee bulbs and are now supported in the latest version of Zigbee2MQTT.The color seems good, nice and bright and very responsive. Here’s the but, no mater what setting I use in my Home Assistant automation they will not turn on if you include brightness in the automation.I’m trying to set them as normal white bulbs during the day and then based on motion at night turn on red at 10% brightness. I know the automation works as I’ve tried it with Hue and Yeelight bulbs with no issue.Another thing I realized is I have the bulbs pushed through a HomeKit bridge so I can use voice commands on a HomePod.When I tell Siri to “turn on the lamp 20 percent” it will not turn on. Then the I next time tell Siri to “turn on the lamp” it comes on at 20 percent. I have tried with different brightness and it’s the same. If I add the brightness level to the voice command it does not turn on and the next time I tell it to turn on it will be at the last brightness level I told it when it didn’t come on.And to make things even weirder, If I tell Siri to “turn on the lamp blue”, it comes on blue (really works with any color) but if I tell Siri to “turn on the lamp 20 percent” (or any brightness level) it doesn’t work like before but now if the next time I try to turn it on I say “turn on the lamp blue” it won’t come on until I say “turn on the lamp” then it comes on and the brightness level (from 2 commands ago) and blue.I tested saying a brightness level (doesn’t work) and then “turn on the lamp blue” (doesn’t work) then another color (doesn’t work), I tried like 4 different colors in a row and it will not come back on until I just say “turn on the lamp” then it comes on set to the last color I said. It will not turn back on after adding a brightness level unless I use the basic “turn on the lamp” command.I might be sending these back, great price but these limitations are a deal breaker.

Great for the price!
Excellent RGB bulb especially for the price! Works as a zigbee relay as well.Weirdly it wonât listen to a turn on command; everything else works but off > on requires cutting power to the bulb.

Love it
Got 2 sets of these for our two offices and in normal light mode these things are super bright. I’ve never had so much light in my office before, it’s great. Having the ability to customize the color, temperature, and brightness really made my office pretty fun. I just wish I had more fixtures in my house that I could use them in, otherwise the whole house would be setup with them. Using Home Assistant (HA) they all synced well and with Z2M grouping they all turn on/off at the same time which is another huge plus.

Great Bulbs, I went back and bought another pack
They work great with both ZHA and Z2M.The only complaint is the color profiles seem a bit off like others have mentioned; which to me is minor. Have had zero technical issues with them. They connect easily, are responsive, work with scenes and automation, they even act as routers for the network. Probably the best deal for a 4 pack of zigbee bulb out there.

Apparently you need the ThirdReality Hub
Iâm using home assistant with a Zigbee coordinatorBut all I can do with HA is turn the bulb on and off. TRâs app says in order to add the lightbulb as a device I must install the TR HUB first. That wouldâve been nice to know upfront. Unless I missed it.

Best Zigbee Bulb on Amazon
I have a few Thirdreality devices and I haven’t been disappointed with any of them and these are no different. Pair immediately, full suite of available features, and easy to incorporate into a home. I run home assistant and these are the new bulb for me.For those having a problem with the bulbs not completely turning off, if using home assistant, you need to have home assistant toggle the device, not the entity. Other than that, I have no issues with these bulbs and will be buying more.

Light doesnât turn back on
Didnât realize this was a brand new product. Bulb is connected to Hubitat and when using Hubitat to control it, light doesnât completely turn off and remains at roughly 5%.When connected to HomeKit and using it to control the light, it would turn off by going down to 5% first then shuts off. Great, except then it doesnât turn back on.Weird bug, maybe itâs just this particular bulb. I ordered the 4-pack and will try other ones.Other than that, the color changes instantly and very bright.
