How to use the DIY function

Step 1: Activate the DIY function. -Turn on the light; -Press one of the RGB buttons; -Press the DIY1 button(with DIY1 as an example); -Press the first button in the first row once

Step 2: DIY setting. Press and hold the red up arrow or down arrow buttons to increase or decrease red proportion (Press 5 seconds or more). Adjust the green and blue proportion in the same way to DIY you favourite color

    Easy to install, many options to choose from
    First of all, the lights work as advertised. Not a dead one to report. They plugged right in with no problem.Second, they are easy to install. I installed around the perimeter of my art studio (appx 150′ worth) in about an hour and a half. The worse part was getting on a ladder and working around established furniture in the room. The adhesive on the back seems strong enough, yet you could peel them off and reposition – but I wouldn’t do this too many times.Thirdly: The remote seems to work well. You just have to get in sight range of the IR sensor on the power box. This is a slight inconvenience. To work around this, download the app and use bluetooth and your phone to control the lights. Just follow the included directions. Works perfectly!Fourthly: I got two 100′ strands and spent less than $25. Are you kidding me? That’s high impact, low cost. Let’s see how long they last.Fifth: About using the lights with music. You can do this in two ways. 1) Dance to the music that is playing on your phone. It’s ok. Not great. 2) Dance to the music in the room via mics on the strips themselves. This seems to work well. But hey, it isn’t a Pink Floyd concert. Go to Rhythm and then choose Device Mic in the APP. To turn this off, go to the Color tab and choose a color manually. There is no button to toggle the Rhythm on/off.The only beef I have is that you have to cut them in certain places. You just can’t cut them anywhere. This is somewhat annoying in the following scenario: I had one strand starting at the far corner of the room. I ran out of the 50′ reel about 3/4 the way to the opposing corner of the room. I ran a second strand from the opposing corner, back towards the original corner. Using about 25% of the 50′ reel. I then had to cut it in a certain place that was close enough to the end of the original strand. This left about a 3 inch space that wasn’t covered by LED light. Not a huge deal in my mind.TIP: Plan your lighting project out beforehand. There are many accessories available for 4-prong LED light strips. Connectors, corners, extenders, electrical extensions, etc. You may need some of these accessories to complete your project. None of those things are included in this product. So do your homework first.

    Deal for the price but could be better
    The led lights came in excellent shape and was easy to install as well. I had to change the position couple of times and the stickiness didn’t fade and the peel was easy. I used one of the rolls, however, I couldn’t make use of second roll as it starts at the same connector as the first one. It would have been so much better if we could connect the two strips continuously. The remote is very handy and there is ton of variations we can switch to. I enjoy turning them on while watching movies. I haven’t figured out synchronizing the music yet and is something I need to try. One thing that bugs me is that the remote has to be pointed to the connector which usually is kept hidden by most people. Overall, satisfied with this purchase so far. Will post a long term review later.

    These lights are super cute and easy to install.Remote doesn’t work well but the app works fine.Please note that the two 50ft package only comes with ONE plug, so both light strips would have to meet at the same spot.This wasn’t clear, and when I contacted the company, they said that if I didn’t like it, return it. (Terrible customer service!)I had to buy a second package in order to get a second plug/adapter to finish this look.Rated 4/5 because of lack of clarity on this and because terrible customer service, otherwise I recommend the lights themselves.
