Great Smart Switch with Easy Installation and Seamless App Connection
This is the first smart device I’ve integrated into my home, and the experience has been excellent. Switching from a regular switch to this one was very easy, and the installation didnât take long. It only required a neutral wire, and the instructions were clear. The connection with the app was quick and hassle-free, making the whole process even better. Matter connectivity is very poor
It took quite a few tries (and a lot of frustration) to get this to pair via Matter. Once it paired, everything seemed great. Unfortunately, it almost immediately started dropping its Matter connection (it doesn’t drop the wifi connection as I can still see it connected to my router). Currently, I have to switch the breaker off and back on for the switch to reconnect via Matter, then it only stays connected for a few hours. I even set up an automation through Home Assistant to turn one of the lights on and off every couple of hours in hopes that a regular interaction would keep the connection alive. I have about 15 other Matter devices and have had zero problems with any of them. This has been a disappointment. I will be looking for a different solution.

Difficult to install into an one gang box.
The wifi connectivity works fine, but the most challenge part is the size of the circuit is too bulky for most of the one gang box. It’s almost impossible to fit into an existing box with all wires.

This is a clean looking wall switch that will blend in with your existing Decora style wall switches. It uses the Matter protocol, so it works with Google Home and most Amazon Echo devices. The only issue I have with the device is that the paddle requires more effort than usual in order to control the load. Checking the markings on the back of the unit, I did not see a US electrical certification such as UL or ETL. It does have a single LED that indicates if the load is on or off.

This smart light switch works, connecting to smartthings and Alexa via matter easily enough and turns on and off when told, but the physical install was one of the most annoying I’ve done of the 4 or 5 brands I’ve tried. The faceplate is near impossible to remove once installed flush. Would not recommend.
