    Great Alexa Add-on
    I have a custom built floor lamp, I had been using plug adapters, saw these and thought it would make more sense because they could be hidden within the cabinet. Simple install, fast and easy pairing, easy setup in Alexa app. The next day.. failure. Alexa said “Check Network Connection for switch” everything else worked, so that was not the issue. Started the eWeLink phone app device worked, notice at the top said “Firmware update available.” Finding the update link inside the device settings was not in a logical spot, but found it after a few seconds. 30 seconds later with new firmware, everything worked fine. I am assuming the “network error” I had was to force you to know about the firmware update, and I have seen a few other switches use that approach to get your attention, so not unusual. So I would suggest anyone else having an “issue” with the switch, check to see if there is a firmware update before you spend too much time troubleshooting it.Overall it seems to work exactly as expected, and as advertised.

    I’ve purchased numerous of these smart switches to use with lamps around the house. Using the ewe link app is easy and I connected the switches to my alexa devices. Installation is easy with basic electrical knowledge. The value of sonoff switches cannot be beat by the competition.

    A easy remote switch
    I’ve been using wemo products but at $30 I decided to give these little guys a try. I didn’t want to change the appliances by cutting the power cables, so it took some cheap power extension cords and will only use them for appliances rated 10 amps or less.Using eWeLink just fine and Alexa. … Alexa “Turn on brown extension cord”. Bam there was light.

    This works great if one doesn’t have a neutral wire to install a smart light switch. I got my ceiling fan up and going with my echo.Pro: easy to install as a light switch.Con: the app is lacking. Too bad it couldn’t be used with smart life or similar without modification.

    Bought the two pack, installed one using my 2.4 ghz router and even downloaded their app I could not get this to communicate. Pushed the paring button….Unless you can decrypt the installation manual good luck.I Would not give us POS to my worst enemy as making this thing work would cause them to go insane…Don’t buy this is total junk
