    Look at something else
    This item is not worth your time. The outdoor unit takes a 2032 (claimed 15-month lifespan) battery with no easy way to change it. You will have to disassemble it just to change a battery. The indoor unit requires an open usb socket. It claims it comes with other ringtones. This is false. All you get is a button that allows you to hear different ringtones (once). It reverts to factory each time. The volume is the same it also reverts each time. The fact you have to place the indoor unit into a usb socket renders the blinking function it claims to have moot. If you are disabled, you will not see it. This is a one-time use. I will be throwing this away quite soon.

    Not For Me
    This type of doorbell was exactly what I was looking for, but this particular one has some design flaws that make it not right for me. First of all, there are NO instructions included in the package – so I had to come back to this ad in order to watch videos, which only provide partial instructions and didn’t answer my questions. Secondly, there is a battery inside the doorbell unit – but I was never successful in getting the unit open. There are six itty-bitty screws that must be removed to open the unit – and even the tiny screwdrivers that came with my sewing machine were too big to turn the screw heads. I don’t want to mount this doorbell and then realize months later that I can’t find a way to replace the battery (I’m not so keen on the idea of having to remove my doorbell and bring it inside every few months to charge it via a USB chord). Third, the indoor chime portion is a USB connection and needs to be plugged in, but you’ll have to use your own brick (or whatever) as none is included. Fourth, the doorbell button only lights up AFTER it has been pushed. So your doorway area will need to be well lit at night or no one will even be able to see where to push the doorbell. And lastly, no matter how I fiddle with this, I can only get it to make a normal ding-dong type of doorbell ring. So I wanted to love this, but instead it just frustrated me. It might work okay for other people, but not for me.

    It does what we need
    We need have a doorbell outside the gates of the house but it’s hard to hear a regular bell. This one solves all that. It works well but I had no idea how to permanently change the ring tone.There are zero instructions and I think that is a real problem, because it isn’t as simple as it looks. It feels poorly made because when you shake the outdoor unit, it rattles, but there is really no reason to believe it!The outdoor unit can recharge with the usb that comes with it.

    Good deterrent
    Very cool that they make these. Much cheaper than getting the real video doorbell with the same deterrent factor as the real thing! Now if someone should not care that they’d be videotaped I’m still stuck in the same spot, but this is a nice alternative especially for out of the way entrances.

    Received faulty item
    Received in faulty condition. Maybe a used return as internal packaging previously torn open. Something loose rattling inside the doorbell part. No installation instructions. No adhesive included. Eventually figured everything out when I found videos online but then it did not work anyway.

    every single person, did not take more then 2, caus ei have regular security, which I honestly didn’t care, just wanted to see if it worked and this camera looks real AF, lol, no wires, its just plug and play.
