Can I connect Nanoleaf Shapes with the Nanoleaf Light Panels or Nanoleaf Canvas?
No, the Nanoleaf Shapes are not compatible with Light Panels or Canvas. You can connect any shapes together – Hexagons, Triangles,& Mini Triangles. All of our products can operate together in the Nanoleaf App even if they’re not physically connected.
How are panels mounted to the wall? Will they damage my wall?
Mount your panels with the included double-sided tape onto any smooth and flat surface. When you mount them, leave the ends of the tape sticking out from the Mounting Plate so you can pull them along the wall later for a safe and easy removal.
Are Nanoleaf lights waterproof?
No, Nanoleaf products are NOT waterproof or water resistant. Our lights and adhesives are not designed to be exposed to high levels of humidity, and are therefore not recommended to be placed in washrooms, near the sink in kitchens, or outdoors.
What is the difference between a Smarter Kit and an Expansion Pack?
Every Nanoleaf Smarter Kit has everything you need to set up the lights. It includes a Controller and a Power Supply unlike Nanoleaf Expansion Packs. An Expansion Pack is an addition to a Smarter Kit which cannot be used without owning a Smarter Kit.
What is the maximum amount of panels that will work with the included 42W Power Supply?
The maximum amount of panels per included Power Supply is 22 for the Hexagons, 28 for the Triangles, and 77 for the Mini Triangles. If you are ever in doubt, check out the PSU Calculator on our website.

The size of each light panel is 3.38*2.94*1.2 inches, and one controller can control up to 256 light panels to form various shapes.
Why aren’t my lights turning on?
First, check if your charger is 5V2A. If it’s 5V1A, please upgrade to a new charger. Then, check if all connectors (the longer ones) are securely connected. If the above checks don’t work, please contact for further assistance.
Why can’t my lights pairing to Wi-Fi?
Check if your Wi-Fi is 2.4G. If it’s mixed, use your phone hotspot for pairing. Reset the lights when connecting to the phone app. Watch our pairing video for reference. If still no connection, contact and we’ll help resolve it ASAP.
Why is my new light panels not turning on?
Pair the light with the app and select it on the homepage. Click the settings icon and choose “Set Distance.” Enter the number of light blocks at the maximum distance.

You need this!
This is a great little gadget! We installed these on the wall of our custom nightstands. They integrate with Alexa and we can control everything right from the bed. They provide date, time and temperature, it plays night sounds as it has a speaker and microphone. You can call other people in the house from this device as well. The only problem that I can see is that changing the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit seems to be a problem. We changed it one time and it worked perfectly, but then it changed back to Celsius for some reason. Not sure if there was some update or something else. Other than that, I think it is definitely a great investment. My husband added, it’s not for your common wall switch (it doesn’t fit the standard wall switch size) it is small 3 1/2 x 3 1/2.
