Basic smartplug that supports SmartThings
I have used home automation for a good while now and can say that these plugs are a good value. They were extremely easy to pair with my SmartThings hub. Their profile leaves room for other devices to be plugged into the outlets (which wasn’t always the case in the old days of x11). The on-off button works. So far they haven’t failed with any of the automation routines that they are apart of, which are triggered multiple times a day.

Pair and work fine Hubitat
I bought two pack of this smart plug last year. Paired easily with Hubitat and have been working dependably since. One was for various seasonal lights on our front porch, so not being used daily, the other is connected to a salt lamp that runs every day – that one has never had an issue with a year of constant use.

Works Well With SmartThings
I bought these to replace an expensive GE smart plug that I bought 3 years ago and already died. It took me a while to find one that worked with SmartThings, as most smart plugs available now do not work with a hub. Out of the box, the 1st one of the pair set up easily and flawlessly. The 2nd one gave me a challenge, as it didn’t want the software to recognize it in the installation process. I walked away for a while, and it worked when I came back. I’ve been running them for a couple months now, as part of automatic daily routines with lamps, and they’ve been reliable. For the money, I figure if I only get a year out of them, I’m still way ahead of the game, because they’re about 1/6 the price of the same GE unit that I purchased back in 2018.

Very unreliable with a high failure rate
I’ve bought several of these since they seemed to be a good price. So far 3 out of 8 have failed. One I had only used for 3 weeks and it failed already. They may look like a good value but if the failure rate is this high then they don’t seem so good at twice the price. And that’s if the rest stay working. And right now I don’t have much hope of that.EDIT:Since initially adding this review 2 more of these have stopped working. so that makes the failure rate over 50%.Don’t buy them. I know I won’t be buying them ever again.

Good while it worked
I have well over 60 Zigbee devices on my network, including multiple plug outlets. One of the Dogain smart plugs I have lasted about 4 weeks then stopped working. It powers on, you can see it in your home automation software, but when you try to control it, it will work for about 10 seconds, then turns off. When you turn it back on, it stays on for 3 seconds then turns itself off, and in the home automation software goes unavailable, then reconnects (Like it is rebooting). I’ve removed/re-added it multiple times with no luck. And before people say too big a load plugged into it, that was not the issue. I was using it as a repeater, and had a tablet plugged into it to charge (I can control the charging to prevent battery issues). I liked the form factor, the ability to set the power on state, lots of good features… The other device is still working fine, so hopefully this was just a defective device. Time will tell I guess.
