I’m telling you, I love having smart stuff inside and outside my home!
I have a thing for outdoor lighting, too. I’m older and my eyes are not what they used to be so if I’m going to be out after dark, I need good lighting. I don’t want it on all the time either, so having a smart plug that I can attach a long set of string lights to is perfect. I have an Echo Dot in my living room and all I do is say, “Alexa, turn on the outdoor lights,” before I step out the door. It’s really a great thing to be able to control things like lights with a phrase I say! This smart dual outlet was easy enough – plug in, add it to Smart Home app and then plug in the lights, name that outlet “outdoor lights,” and it’s ready to use! If you want some outdoor lights you can turn off and on with just your voice, get this smart outlet!

The plug works really well. I was able to set our blow up decorations on a timer to turn on and off. The app is fairly simple and easy to use. It seems fairly sturdy. Weather hasnât effected it. I like how you can set up one plug to go at a certain time and the other at a different time.

Burnt the wall plug point
I had the smart plug on a schedule and it worked great for a few months, but all of a sudden, one summer day in the bay it decided to blow up, burn the wall plug off and tuned off the grid in my home. Unbelievable.You can see in the image, a part of the prong has melted away in the socket and it cannot even come apart.It took me more money to fix my patio socket than this smart plug. Such a shame. Do t trust this product.

Solid build quality, works as described
This plug is built well and appears it will last for a while. The box includes a set of screws and drywall anchors. So you could easily hang the plug with he sockets facing down on a wall or deck etc. It was very easy to pair the plug with the app and connect it to wifi. The Smart-life app is fairly easy to use and explanatory. I opened the Alexa app and added the plug to my devices. By using the Alexa app I was able to add a routine that will turn the plug on at dusk, and off a few hours later. I can also ask Alexa to turn the plug on or off. I plan on using this plug for Christmas lights on an outdoor railing.It is nice that you can control each plug individually. The rubber socket covers appear to work, however, this plug is not designed to be submerrged.

Inexpensive way to control your Alexa devices outside of your home!
This smart WiFi plug is great!It performs as advertised.There are two AC outlets which is connected to a thick durable cord that’s plugged into another AC outlet – essentially to me it’s a WiFi enabled short extension cord!I had no trouble connecting it to the app since I already use Tuya for other devices I have in my home.It connects to my WiFi fine and outside it keeps a steady connection.Not sure if that’s because I have a WiFi extender but it does function well in my backyard.I use it to connect LED string lights and patio lights.It works great! I can tell Alexa to turn on the lights and it works. I can also use my Google home app to control my lights.I really like that there are two outlets with this device – I have several smart plugs and you can only plug in one device into it! Also, each outlet has a cover to place over it while not in use.Through rain and hot weather, this plug has held up nicely.You can control each side of the plug separately or together- that’s definitely a bonus.You can really choose where you want to use it – it’s intended for outside use but if you wanted to use it indoors instead – go for it! It will work inside your home as well.Overall, for $16, this is a good deal! I wouldn’t hesitate to order this again if I needed another plug outside my home!

Great outdoor plug that is easy to setup, works with Alexa and is 15 amp
Super easy to connect to either Tuya or Smartlife apps especially if you are already on the correct wifi on your phone. Press and hold the button for 5 seconds to enable pairing and the app found it right away and then Alexa found it right away also since I already have the app tied to Alexa. You can control the whole power strip or each outlet depending on your needs. I easily added to my ‘Decorations’ group in Alexa which I control via voice and/or a schedule. I had no trouble with wifi in my location as I have extenders and such to cover my entire outside. Having this device be part of the Tuya and Smartlife ecosystem makes setup and control so much easier.

Great functionality, less range than I’d hoped
I got this to replace a dusk/dawn sensor on my deck lights.First, the good: I found the app extremely easy to use (pairing this to was easier than almost any “smart” device I’ve used). The app looks professional, and appears to have a ton of options of other devices that I could add down the line.I also like that I can control either each plug individually, or the unit as a whole. I could see changing my setup to take advantage of this and putting additional lights on a different schedule.I am, however, taking down one star because of the weak wifi signal. I initially setup the device inside. However, when I moved it to where the old outlet had been, it was unable to connect to my wifi. I have several other devices outside (Pellet Smoker, etc) that are equidistant or further from my router that have strong connections. I was disappointed in this.However, I was able to place the device in a better location since it didn’t need to be exposed to sunlight like my previous dusk/dawn sensor, so I can’t complain too much! Once I moved it a little closer to the exterior wall of my house, it started working great.
