Lots Of Fun & Useful
This is my first time buying smart light bulbs and boy am I having fun with them; I’m such a nerd. They screw into a standard type light fixture. The app is a bit clunky to use. Adding bulbs and choosing colors, the basics, is easy, but I haven’t figured out some of the more advanced features of the app yet, for example scheduling on and off times. These are capable of the full gamut of 16.7M RGB colors. The app has a tab for color settings and white light settings. The color tab has three different palettes to change colors in whatever manner is most comfortable to you. It also has a brightness slider from 1-100%, editable favorite colors buttons, editable ‘My Scene’ color temperature buttons, and ‘Scene Library’ presets. The white light tab has a brightness slider, a color temperature slider with a range of 2700k – 6500k. This tab also has the ‘My Scene’ and ‘Scene Library’ sections. These are the basics. I’ve barely scratched the surface of the app. It feels a bit clunky because it is a China developed app ported to English. When I ordered the bulbs, they were priced at $50 for 4, which seemed a bit steep. They’re now $30 with a 20% coupon you can click on that brings the price down to $24 for 4; a good deal for what you get.I plan to use two of these as complementary color generators in my basement studio with the other two in the house.

Good light output and good Alexa integration, but requires a separate app and registration
These smart bulbs work well. The light output is good, both in the white tones and colors. Even blue, which most bulbs struggle with, is decent. And, I like that these bulbs have a tunable white. This seems like an essential feature on any modern bulb, no matter where it’s going to be used. At 2700K and 5000K, the bulbs tested out at 2738K and 4448K respectively (see pics). These bulbs do require downloading a separate app and registering a new account, both of which I consider to be a negative. They aren’t really offering anything groundbreaking in exchange for getting access to all my info and a separate slot on my devices. The required app, ProdigyTec, looks very much like Smart Life, so it seems like they are trying to reinvent the wheel. (I could not get Smart Life to connect). The app works fairly well, but there are numerous rough edges like spelling mistakes and unrefined controls. There is, however, an interesting HCL (Human Centered Lighting) mode. This seems similar to the “Rhythms” mode found in the other app. It sets the device to smoothly change brightness and color temperature throughout the day according to your preferences. Also, the Alexa integration is good. The bulbs are quickly recognized and can be used in routines. And, all the normal voice commands work perfectly, including the color temperatures like “warm white” and “daylight white”.

Connects quickly and works well
The app was easy to install and use. The bulb connected instantly. Functionality works well. It’s not the brightest of bulbs though and the white shows up in the app as more of an off blue than pure white. But looks white enough at the bulb, just not bright enough for my liking. The colors are good and the app has a dynamic color mode that rotates around through the multiple colors with a delay setting between transition. Was hoping to connect this into my home automation system somehow but I have yet to find a way to get this into Home Assistant, bulbs that use a different app I cannot find any integration for the app that controls this bulb. Which is disappointing, but I’m not going to stop looking just in case someone has figured it out or things change in the future. For now I will be using these bulbs in places where we don’t need fully integrated smart control and that we don’t use very often.

Not in Vegas –
The app is extremely poor.
The first bummer is the unintuitive app. It’s balks at touch commands and then the commands are executed in a very delayed fashion. I have another brand smart bulb and app, and commands are instantaneous. The second issue is for low 60 Watt equivalence bulbs, these seem to get overly hot. Maybe an issue or maybe not, but all my other LEDs barely get warm. The app is almost unusable and makes these a do not buy.

Love these smart bulbs
I have almost my entire house set up with smart bulbs connected to an Alexa. This is my first experience with bulbs that have color. What fun! They are not really necessary, but fun nonetheless! They were easy to set up and work seamlessly with my Alexa. There are many things that can be accomplished with the bulbs through the app. Highly recommended!

Smart Bulb 4 Pack Value
A nice 4 pack of smart bulbs. These are controlled with the “Prodigytec” app which can integrate to Google or Alexa. Integration with both of these was quite smooth and easy. The app has an interesting “HCL” human centered lighting mode which I have been trying out. I haven’t seen anything like this in another smart app before. The app also has the ability to do automations, timers, set specific and pre-set colors and such. The bulbs were easy to install and connect to my 2.4 wifi network.I did have one bulb that turned itself on unrequested in the middle of the night. I noticed because I had installed these in my bedroom ceiling fan fixture. I have had this issue with some smart bulbs (of other brands too) in the past and simply had to replace the bulb eventually as I didn’t want things turning themselves on without being requested, especially when I’m sleeping.
