Since 2017, we started to work on smart switches, from single pole to 3-way, dimmer to fan control. We are trying provide reliable and affordable IOT devices to our users.

How did we get our start?

Users know us from our 1st smart dimmer (MJ-SD01), which has a wide compatibility for different lamps.

From the first dimmer, we upgraded our design according to feedbacks from users, such as nigh light, auto dimmer, calibration, 3-way. Then, we win more and more users.

What makes our products unique?

We listen to our users. They want night light, we provide this feature. They like to link HA via MQTT, we provide tasmota pre-flashed devices.

Why do we love what we do?

We believe the IOT devices can really make our life easier and energy friendly.

Customers say

Customers find the dimmer control easy to use and precise for LED lights. The build quality is good, and it works well with WiFi and Alexa. However, some customers have experienced flickering or flashing lights at low settings.

    Upgrade
This version of the Martin Jerry smart dimmer is much better, from its sleeker look to its touch-button function. The old version’s press-function dimmer broke off. This new version is just a tap away from turning on / off and dimming.

Doesn’t work with my LED lights
My ceiling lights are dimmable but they flicker with this switch.

    Pretty good but not quite.
The dimmer works fine. However, if you choose not to connect this to wifi you are stuck looking at thus little red light for all time. The install instructions was 1 page. the WiFi instructions were 6 or more pages. You have to get an app and on and on. The included face plate was no use so in the pix notice a standard white plate I had to buy.

Great dimmer but non-intuitive touch control
First, let there be no doubt: I love Love LOVE trailing edge dimmers for LED lighting, and these latest models from Martin Jerry seem like pretty high quality to me. I would have given them 5 stars if not for one thing:You control this dimmer manually by touch. There are no moving parts. To turn it on and off, you touch the small lighted spot near the bottom. To control the dimming, you touch or slide your finger on the vertical stack of LEDs. The dimmer control is obvious enough, but the on-off is not intuitive. I’m not too worried about me, and the griping from household members settled down after a while. But I did a test with some of those household members. “Turn that light on.” They all failed to get it that they should touch the little lighted spot until I told them.I believe in the smart home principle that others have said: You should still be able to operate everything manually in an intuitive and non-confusing way. I wish MJ made these new trailing edge dimmers with controls similar to their previous generation.Lest we forget, I repeat that the actual dimmer function, including automation, is excellent. These are Tuya-based, so they use the same cloud infrastructure as many other Chinese brands. It’s the trailing edge technology that sets them apart. (If you are looking at a smart dimmer that does not say it’s trailing edge, then it is almost certainly leading edge; in which case, your success with any particular LED lights will be a matter of luck.) No such worries with these latest MJ dimmers.

    Best Smart Switch Dimmer
I’ve gone through several different smart dimmers and this is the best I’ve seen. It is well built. All capacitive touch buttons is a sleek look. This is the easiest dimmer to flash with custom firmware (i.e. tasmota). The manual even tells you what pins to short to enable flashing; every other dimmer I’ve had tries to block flashing.I’ve bought 5 and will probably buy more for every light in my house

Very precise dimmer for LED lights
Re: MartinJerry touch dimmer switch The fine tuning capabilities of this dimmer are switch slows you to customize the minimum light level setting per the requirements of a particular LED light (or group of connected lights).Additionally, the company provides truly outstanding customer service.

Better than other smart dimmers but not a good replacement for a manual dimmer
Few things could (and should be, IMO) be better:Increase separation between on/off touch vs dimmer touch pad- sometimes dim to lowest setting when turning on.Maybe offer an option for turning the light on by touching anywhere.LED indicator lights on the dimmer are not as bright and defined as on the photo – I wish they were.Clips holding back cover are weak and dimmer fell apart when taking the cover off. Cover is flexible and I think that maybe back is made of Nylon, not ABS or Polycarbonate as listed.Being Trailing Edge dimmer lights do not buzz and adjustment, wheel allows for lights to dim much lower than other smart switches. However:at low setting lights flicker and sometimes flash brieflycheap manual trailing edge dimmer can dim the same lights well so it’s not the lights

Easy to use and great quality.
I really like these Martin Jerry smart home switches. They have a sturdiness to them that some other brands lack. I’m a lot more comfortable installing this style of switch over the previous generation. These are TUYA based switches that work very well with Smart Life. I used to reflash these to use them on an MQTT based smart home platform but I’m migrating away from that complexity and trying to use Smart Life for everything.I have a 2.4 GHz TPlink access point that I use for all my smart home switches and cameras. This network is dedicated to only smart home items and I find I have the least amount of trouble that way. My home has standard sheetrock walls and plastic outlet boxes.Installation for the power side of this switch is pretty standard. The MJ switch feels substantial and while it’s a bit big it’s still easy enough to connect everything and shove it into a well organized electrical box. The key to success there is to get as much to the back of the box as possible.Smart Life finds these switches easily enough and can control them right away. Alexa on the other hand sometimes take a bit. I find Smart Life needs to refresh before Alexa will pick up on the name of the light or switch and allow you to start using voice commands.I’ve had no issues with flickering when dimming but I didn’t have any previously either.I recommend MJ switches for sure.
