    Great Doorbell Camera for the Money!
    Great camera! Nice slimline design and looks nice on the house. The Skybell App is easy to install and use. Video images and live camera are very clear. I installed a doorbell hood, separately purchased from another vendor, to shade the unit from direct sunlight. My other doorbell would literally cook in the heat. I did have a little difficulty installing the unit in the base plate, the bottom set screw wouldn’t quite line up and it was frustrating trying to tighten it. My neighbor has the same unit and he gave up with the bottom screw and it looks crooked on the house. Overall this is a great unit and I would recommend it.

    Not compatible with latest skybell app beware and read this
    Not compatible with latest skybell app. I opened a ticket with skybell. They said its because this is an Adler security product even though the box says skybell. It will not be able to be used with the gen 5 appThis was skybells official response from tech support”You have a SkyBell purchased from Alder. SkyBell’s new app is not compatible with other partners that use the SkyBell hardware. This includes Alder apps or alarm systems.”

    Had hard time understanding directions and when I called the support I got the rudest, condescending person who had me going in circles with nothing happening so he asked me if I even knew how to work an iPhone or iPad which I replied I was on my iPhone and using my iPad to follow his instructions. When I tried to ask a question, he told me if I couldn’t listen he would just be quiet and I could figure it out myself! Then he said hold on and never came back.Finally had a friend help me figure it out by going on UTube and he had left out 3 steps! No wonder I was going in circles. Now that it’s working, no thanks to their phone support, I love it

    Do not buy
    Bought as test device to get my family use to smart door bells. Device does not have Alexa support. It used to, but was dropped. Causing some confusion between other resources on the net stating otherwise. Drops out of wifi every so often, have to reconnect it about every month or two. It does work as advertised, but as a standalone, cannot use my Alexa show devices with it, drops out of wifi every so often, it’s not worth it. I’m glad there is no cloud subscription fee, but this device does not provide a simple seamless integration with the household.

    Purchased this as a replacement, had the round skybell. It was always offline, and once i replaced the battery it buffered & no video. It was a reasonable price, works well & I don’t have any problems with it….
