    Easier and faster
    Buying this to expand my Simplisafe alarm. Im slowly replacing my older smoke alarms with these which work with my system and will call the fire dept if needed. Ive had my Simplisafe alarm for years and it works great! The monitoring is FAST,. If I ever accidently set the wrong way, they call me before Ive even left my driveway. I bought a water detector and put it under my toilet. It worked great to warn us when I had a leak! Ordering this off Amazon was actually easier and faster than the Simplisafe site, and it arrived same day. It seamlessly hooked up to my system wirelessly when I entered the serial number. Over time I will replace every one of my 8 detectors with this kind.

    Works Great – Reliable
    This smoke detector works great. I’ve set mine off a couple of times due to smoke in the kitchen. SimpliSafe called within seconds the two times it happened last month. I’m very happy with the hardware and their monitoring response time. If you have a SimpliSafe system, you need to get a couple of these.

    It a great product overall, one thing that I don’t like is the fact that you can’t adjust the base station volume for the smoke alarm sound but you can for the normal alarm. Great buy overall!

    Easy to link with our existing Simplisafe System
    We had bought a package that included what we needed with the SimpliSafe system at a big box store, but it didn’t include a smoke alarm. We decided to buy it here at Amazon as a single item. The Simplisafe system is very easy to use and set up. I was also easily able to set up this smoke alarm on the Simplisafe app on my phone. The smoke detector looks like an ordinary smoke detector, but it’s designed to let Simplisafe’s monitoring system know if there’s smoke in the house. It’s also wireless, which I thought was a plus, since you can put it in any spot in the house. It’s also supposed to have a 3-5 year battery. I love Simplisafe.

    Simplisafe fan for life
    I love how anything you buy whether it’s door alarms, glass, breaking, freezing temperatures, water, carbon monoxide, or a fire alarm that it’s all connected to the SimpliSafe system and will contact the authorities for you. It is an amazing peace of mind to have!! I actually just upgraded to the newer version because I had the other one for so long

    Inconvenient
    I’ve had a few false alarms now and 2 alarms during cooking. You have to deactivate with a keypad and pick up the phone on the first call or they alert the fire department. This means that if you miss the call because you are scrambling to deactivate the alarm and find your phone, police and fire department will show up. Second, if you aren’t home, you can’t deactivate your alarm which is super annoying if you aren’t home and a false alarm goes off.
