    Beautiful Light.
    This Product is great. It looks like true neon. Surprisingly bright at 12v. It’s beautiful. Be assured that this company stands behind their product. Alice answered a bunch of questions for me and showed tremendous service. Great product. Nothing is going to stick to the product as far as adhesive goes. The metal clips work great when paired with high heat 3m double sided tape. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PKI7IBG/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdb_btf_t1_wYJLFbH4X77SXIt has a little bit of cushion and they are holding my clips to stucco in the picture. I put tape on the top of the metal clip and side. The bottom has no tape on it. I used 3 clips per foot so buy extra if you want a tight fit. It looks really nice. Great buy.

    Easy to install, easy to use, impressive range of features.
    I used these lights to line my living room baseboard with to provide ambient lighting for watching movies. They work excellently and look great! They give off a fair amount of light at their brightest and can be dimmed according to your preference.The install was simple and I found the adhesive backing sufficient to adhere the lights to my wall (note that they sit on the baseboard so they have some help fighting gravity.) We ended up adding some of the included clips for backup stability but I’m not sure they were necessary in my case.I’m impressed with the variety of functions. The remote didn’t need to “pair” and worked immediately and flawlessly. Overall, a very neat appearance when installed and impressive variety of function.

    Difficult to adhere to anything
    They work great. Integration with home assistant is flawless. The power connectors do require support, or they will pull apart. A wrap of electrical tape or silicon glue works well.I didn’t want to use the provided clamps because I didn’t want to drill into my hardwood stairs. Also, that would sag over time and look like a bunch of draped link. I wanted it to be straight, so an adhesive was the only option.Getting anything to stick to the silicon housing though, is extremely difficult. I ended up using 10mm VHB tape, but to get it to stick, I had to liberally drench the LED’s silicon housing with acetone. This was discovered after numerous experiments. The housing has to be visibly wet with acetone when you press it against the VHB tape (which sticks to most things very well). Then apply pressure until the acetone evaporates. I had to go back and re-touch some areas that didn’t stick, and used a syringe with a bent needle to get between the LED silicon and the VHB.The adhesion difficulty is the only reason I’m not giving 5 stars. On the plus side, this should make them easy to clean and, granted, silicon is a fantastically durable finish. It just makes for difficult installation.All that said, it’s not time critical. If you have problems, un-peel and do it again. It’s not a “get it right 1st time or it’s trash” operation.I will buy more of these as they are the only true RGBWW (Dedicated whlte LED) that is outdoor/waterproof that I’ve found.Am considering using 3d printed clamping strip for next application (outdoor stairs) so that it’s not dependent on the questionable acetone adhesion process, (and is gardener/hose proof) for which I’m not sure of the long term prospect.The only other thing to note is that the light around the ends of the strip have a brighter band next to the end connector. I wrapped that in black tape to make it look even across the installation.

    Love these lights!
    I used them to back-light some floating shelves I made for my office. Nice and bright and the app was simple to set up. Full range of colors, soft white, bright white, and dimmable. The strips are very flexible. I was able to bend them around a pretty tight radius. They fit perfectly into the slot made with a 1/4” router slot bit, set at 1/2” deep.

    Shorted out immediately after installation – updated 2nd set the same
    I bought this at the same time I bought everything for the project and didn’t get to installing the light until now. The light worked fine when tested but after installation the lights shorted out. I’ll have to disassemble the project to repair it.2nd attempt – got a replacement set and they are also starting to work incorrectly. Colors don’t match (blue button gives red, no longer have white, etc.) there seems to be issues with the control box, wiring etc.I bought this light because it seemed like a higher quality product due to the cost.

    The Good, the Bad/annoying.
    The Good: Really like the diffused light on this light strip. Excellent color/hues and app is great.The Bad/annoying: The included mounting clips and definitely the screws are the not worth the time and effort (dont even try.. just throw them away) I ended up simply using Bradley nails to install and they were better and way more secure. This is the way.

    Great RF remote unfortunately short lifespan
    I really liked that these had a flat profile so I could install them flush. I had purchased and used the Shine Decor white lights before these and they’re still going strong.Unfortunately some of the lights on the RGB string just died so now there is a purple spot that’s really frustrating. These would be an extreme pain to remove and reinstall and why I purchased LEDs given they should last 10s of thousands of hours. I estimate they have been used less than 100 hours nowhere near even 1,000. Installed over two years ago in a fixed unmovable, protected setting so I know nothing damaged them. I suppose if you took a nail and hammered it in they would be damaged but since they’re flush in hardwood (and no hammering did I) there nothing that should have damaged these.The warranty as it turns out is 1 year. I contacted customer service and they were very responsive, nice, and offered me a discount on a new set.The problem is the effort to take them out and reinstall them. Even if they replaced them for free I don’t want to spend my time having to redo something that should last for many more hours and years before the lights burn out. I asked if they make the 12v white version I used before but alas no.The functionality was great, they were about double the price of comparable lights, but unfortunately the durability seems to be quite poor.
