    Work great with HA, ConBee II
    This was my first foray into “smart” anything, and I wasn’t 100% certain what I was getting into. I’ve got a Home Assistant installation running, so I bought a ConBee II stick and a 4-pack of these bulbs as my starter set. After ordering, I discovered some warnings that I may not have picked the best combo…However, after a brief search, I got the ConBee II connected to my HA installation then I put one of these bulbs into the fixture in my office where the stick is located. It took about 5 seconds to locate the bulb & registered it in Home Assistant. Having seen some notes that distance between the receiver & the bulb could cause recognition issues, I moved into the kitchen where they are now installed, and the rest were recognized there with no problem at all.The bulbs are very heavy in comparison to the “dumb” LED bulbs they replaced, but that doesn’t seem to be an issue for the fixture I’ve got them in. They’re also quite large and the one that lives under a globe was a bit of a squeeze to get in there. They’re not the prettiest looking bulbs, so if they’re exposed, you may not quite like the look of them, but they’re bright (see below) so you probably won’t be staring at them too often.They are incredibly bright, and on full cool temperature, they’re a bit too blue for my tastes, so I won’t send them all the way to the cool end of the spectrum. It’s nice to know that it’s there, though. They dim smoothly all the way down to 1%, and they go all the way to a nice warm color, as well.So long as these last longer than the el-cheapo bulbs I’ve purchased before, I’ll be quite satisfied with them and will be buying more for other places in the house.

    A great, but heavy smartbulb!!!
    I have been working on upgrading and updating my house to become a “smarter” house. I have both Alexa (Amazon Echo) and Google Home devices to be electronic assistances as well as a RaspberryPi with Home Assistance. I have the Philips Hue Hub, a Samsung SmartThings Hub, and a Vera Lite bridge.I have mostly been using Z-wave switches for controlling lights, but have upgraded to using smart bulbs based on features and functionality. Initially, I started with the Philips Hue bulbs (which are great), but I’ve also tried the Cree and Sengled bulbs. From a user experience, most bulbs can pair right up to the SmartThings or Hue hub and easily controlled by “Alexa” or “Hey Google”.Up until this set of bulbs, I have been purchasing either the bright daylight bulbs or the softer/warmer moonlight style bulbs and using dimming capabilities. I was contacted as part of a marketing and promotional offer to test the Sengled tunable bulbs. Up until this point, I haven’t thought the color changing or the range of white tunable bulbs has been worth the extra cost.Initial Impressions====================Build Quality – Appears to be excellentAppearance – Nice, but these don’t look like the other bulbs as the LEDs are at the bottomFunctionality and Features – Excellent pairing and control from the SmartThings app. Easily added the bulbs and placed into the smart home scenes and routines I already have setup.General Observations======================- Nice to be able to not only dim the lights, but also change color temperatures. I ended up replacing the bulbs in the living room ceiling fan (Philips Hue Bulbs) with these so I can change the color temperatures at night. Additionally, I used one of the bulbs in my wife’s desk lamp (turning it into a smart lamp) allowing it to not only be dimmable, but also change color temperature.- Just as bright as the similar Cree or Philips Hue bulbs in the same Daylight or Moonlight category. Again, these can change the temperature so you can have the softer glow at night (a definite plus)- Bulbs were extremely heavy. These bulbs are much heavier than the Sengled, Hue, Cree bulbs that I have been used to using. Most of the weight appears to be at the base of the bulbs. The weight isn’t a huge deal, but if you have a small unbalanced lamp, this is something to keep in mind.

    Great zigbee bulbs but a little too tall
    These paired easily with SmartThings, color temp range is good, dimming is fine. Their problem is they’re tall with the emitter near the end of the bulb, making them illuminate the top of most light shades and blinding if you’re taller. If you’re going to buy these I strongly recommend finding shades that extend high above a typical bulb.

    Worked with the Smart Things hub in minutes
    I’m always delighted when I can add things quickly to the Smart Things hub. I refuse to buy things which require their own smartphone app that then connects to Smart Things. This Sengled E21-N13A bulb connects directly. Click on add partner device, scroll down to Sengled, choose Sengled Light, scan the QR code, voila. Easy peasy. …and a delighted customer.

    This bulb started my change to a home lit by smart LEDs
    I first started off with the Sengled starter hub with two bulbs, and was immediately impressed. The Android Sengled app was a bit confusing to set up since I was unsure if I was installing a Zigbee device or Wi-Fi device, Smart LED, start kit, or starter hub, but the app would not let me make a mistake, so once it connected the application worked flawlessly.I like how the bulb remembers its last used setting, so the kitchen lights are synced with warm lighting at night and daylights during the day. Some bulbs can’t be customized, but these bulbs have a slider in the app to determine the temperature of the lighting.I like to use the wakeup feature on the application so that the bulb “wakes up” with my birds, increasing in brightness slowly over time. These lights are bright, and can be dimmed. The base of the bulb is a bit warm to touch, but the bulb itself does not get warm due to the nature of the LEDs. I can’t really count the LEDs in the bulb, but there are at least twenty of them.Lastly, with the Android app, you can create a widget that’s either 4×2 app icons large, or just one app icon large. I use two of the 1×1 widgets to turn all of my living room lights on, or off, rather than flicking switches and turning on lamps.Overall I’d definitely recommend these bulbs and the start kit hub to anybody.

    The add says they will work with Alexa but will NOT. Amazon does have bulbs that work with the alex devices but they are expensive. I am so tired of the B.S. of calling Sengled then ordering product then returning the product.Amazon has failed to tell customers what will and what will not work with DOT and other devices, ON THEIR WEB SITE. In fact tehy tell us some products will work when they will NOT.

    I haven’t really had much experience with other brands but I would assume other lights can’t go much dimmer than these so I still gave them five stars. I bought a kit with two bulbs a very long time ago and was very pleased, it’s awesome they still make the exact same bulbs just with upgraded functionality through firmware updates (ZigBee support or whatever it is, these were called Element Plus when I got the kit and seem to be exactly the same).It’s great not only being able to control the brightness and do it wirelessly from my phone or a Google device, but the color temperature as well. I like to have warm lights during the night and switch to daylight during the day.I might get another four pack so that I will have one bulb for every socket in my apartment, but I already have a light on my bathroom mirror I can control both the brightness and temperature of, and two light fixtures both have two sockets but I am only using one bulb in each at the moment and these are more than bright enough.I’ve got three temperature settings I set up for all the lights that I can access from my Android smart phone thru a widget (even my expensive Nanoleaf lights don’t have a widget). I use Google Home to turn them on and off and adjust brightness. Unfortunately Google Home can’t adjust the temperature (with my Nanoleaf it can, probably because it can emit any RGB color) but like the Nanoleaf app Home doesn’t have a widget either. I could probably make a full home screen devoted for Sengled widgets and it would be a perfect little switchboard with every setting I’d ever need but the voice commands and single Sengled widget works well and took very little setup. It would take a while to make more Sengled widgets
