The Sengled Element Classic PAR38 Security LED Floodlight is the simple, smart way to add smart lighting outside your home. Connect the bulb to your compatible hub (Sengled Element hub, SmartThings or Echo Plus) to begin. Integrated into the LED bulb is an infrared sensor with a 100-degree detection angle and a 30-foot range. When motion is detected, the light will stay illuminated for 90 seconds after motion is no longer sensed.
Flexible Set-up: Connect Element bulbs to your Element hub. Or, connect bulbs directly to Echo Plus or SmartThings. Use the associated app to control your lighting.
Built-In motion and daylight sensors: Light automatically illuminates for 90 seconds when motion is detected within 30 feet. Wide-angle detection senses movement within 100-degree field of vision. Daylight sensor will ensure the bulb will not turn on during the day.
Voice Control: Works with Alexa or Google Assistant. Control your lights via voice commands to turn on/off, adjust brightness and more. (Compatible hub is required)
Motion notifications: With the Sengled hub and Sengled Home app, receive mobile notifications when motion is sensed.
Easy installation: Simply twist into a standard fixture with an E26 socket. Outdoor rated and weatherproof, the PAR38 is suitable for wet environments.

Works great with my Zigbee controller, nicely packaged, better than I expected at this price point
Easy to add to Zigbee hub, great replacement for obsolete color changing bulbs from other systems.Even though this is currently my sole Zigbee device so I’m not getting any of the benefits of the mesh networking, it still reliably responds to commands, quickly and accurately.Good value for the money and fits nicely into my existing lighting fixture.

The bulbs are good. Amazon instructions are not.
Let me start by saying the bulbs are good and work well with Homey Pro 2023.These are Zigbee bulbs and require a Zigbee hub. It is clearly stated in the description. Two days after delivery I received an email from Amazon with instruction for setting up the bulbs. The instructions start with the Sengled app which does not support Zigbee bulbs. I already knew this, but it is no wonder that Amazon gets so many returns when they send out incorrect instructions.

I really want to love these, I do
These fall into the category of really ok. Just not perfect. Colors are hard to adjust and not reflective of what you see on the screen. And some colors just seem to be impossible to get. Like a school bus yellow. And then for some reasons, the bulbs (both) lost their color schemes and I had to start from scratch. Oh and beware. If you have thes eon the same circuit, you have to integrate one at a time. Do one, then unscrew it and screw in the other. Then do that one. Only then can you screw both back in.

Not bright enough – if running deCONZ as ZigBee handler
Purchased the BR-30 bulbs and the colors are pretty decent, however the brightness is severely lacking. We’ve tried a range of temperatures of white, warm to cool, all at full brightness, and the room still looks like the lights need to be turned on. I’ll have to find something else to do with these lights, because they aren’t going to work out for the room I planned to use them in. Set up was easy, running a ZigBee network through Home Assistant using DECONZ, found them instantly, grouped the bulbs and can easily control the color, brightness, and state for all of them as a group. But these bulbs that are listed as 75 watt equivalent are putting out less light than some 40 watt bulbs we have.*Update – through online forums I found that DECONZ was not exposing all of the functionality of these bulbs, the issues with the bulbs not being bright enough are due to the fact that some LEDs are dedicated to the white color ranges and we’re not being activated by the DECONZ handler. Switching to either ZHA, or Zigbee2mqtt, resolves the issue. These bulbs now look great and are fully tunable throughout the spectrum of white lighting. The colors are good, saturation of the colors isn’t super deep but it does offer a nice balance of providing light and color.

Better chance of getting struck by lightening & winning the lottery than getting through to support.
I use six of these bulbs in my living room. In September 2022 and July 2023 I have purchased eight from Amazon. The September 2022 batch of four was to replace the ones that failed that I purchased from Sengled in the past. I had issues with the bulbs losing LED’s and not setting to the correct color. I emailed support since the phone line stated they were being updated for better support. That was in August of 2022. I just called and the same canned message is being played. When you follow the links for warranty support they are dead. I have emailed them at their Zendesk links and never received any proper feedback. The fall 2022 purchase was to replace four bulbs that went bad. I purchased four more this month to replace the other two that are not working. I can understand if these bulbs were on constantly, there would be an issue, but they are not.I find it hard to believe the QC is so horrible. I use other similar bulbs from another company and they had a failure of one in purchased in over three years. Right now I am about to replace the Sengled product again. I will do my research and attempt to find a comparable product because Sengled’s product, warranty and support are horrible.Let’s see if they even care to reply.

Easy Alexa Integration – Awesome soft to daylight tones
I purchased four of these bulbs mostly for the ability to control white tones throughout the evening. These were very easy to install (I have a Segled Hub) and integrate using Alexa. Using the Segled App, I have set up different tones and percent brightness as the night sets in. I also use one as a nightlight, which automatically turns on the blue tone on one light only at about 5% perfect. This illuminates the living room just enough to not run into anything in the middle of the night. I programmed this entire routine into the Segled App and don’t have to touch anything on a daily basis. Just leave the wall switch on. Very easy to program.Colors all seem rich and vibrant to me. I’m sure there are other more expensive brands that have more intense colors, but I am pleased with the color from these bulbs. I also have three other soft white Segled bulbs for use around the house and they have been fantastic. Great value, great color effects… what’s not to love?

We put these over our peninsula and really have fun with the mood lighting. The one complaint we would have is limited colour options with Alexa. You can ask for blue, yellow, white, red…. but if you ask for fuchsia, lavender, turquoise…. it only works with the app as Alexa doesn’t recognize these colors (yet??).Fun to have.

Needed smart lights in a stairway the needed to be lit only when in use – these save me from having to bark commands at my smart home setup every time. Also very bright. Motion sensor is a bit overly sensitive, but I havenât figured out whether that can be turned down.

These bulbs did what I needed, which was to work with sonoff zigbee radio on home assistant. The only issues I have is the lowest dim value isnât as low as a Philips bulb, and the white adjust at brightest point is a bit too warm for my use case.
