An internet break won’t stop it from 24/7 recording. Please note that a third-party NVR is NOT supported. Supports 12-24V AC 50/60Hz, 24V DC power, IEEE802.3af PoE switch/injector, or Reolink PoE NVRs.
Flexible Storage Options & Versatile Software: Reolink software provides lifetime service that requires NO monthly fee. It supports pre-roll recording, which provides valuable 6s footage from before an event is triggered. Recordings can be stored on a microSD card (Max. 256GB, not included), Reolink NVR for built-in 2TB/4TB HDD local storage, or FTP/NAS.
Accurate Alerts by Humanoid Detection: You can set it to alert you when a human is detected, ignoring trivial non-human passers-by, and you can set the motion zone to decide where objects’ movements will be detected.
Customers say
Customers are satisfied with the security camera’s functionality, ease of installation, and picture quality. They find it works well for two-way communication, integrates seamlessly with the Reolink NVR, and has a wide angle view. The software is straightforward and easy to use. Many appreciate the superior resolution compared to the Ring doorbell. While most customers are pleased with the quality and price, some have mixed opinions on connectivity, sound quality, and video lag.

Easy install and configuration with existing NVR with Onvif compatability
We’ve owned a security system NVR for a few years now and finally decided it was time to install a doorbell camera. I chose a Reolink camera because I’ve read positive reviews for their products in the past. I wanted a PoE camera that was onvif compatible, hoping that it would work with my existing AvertX recorder, which is compliant with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). I recieved the Reolink doorbell camera and installed it in the same spot our existing doorbell was mounted previously. This is a wired PoE camera and in order to keep the install hole small, it required me to wire my own ethernet cable with my favorite RJ45 “pass through” connectors. I chose cat5e cable because it was thinner than the cat6a and cat8 cables that I have. The Reolink unit comes with an adapter to tilt the camera at a 15° angle which I chose to use since our sidewalk curves off to one side. I was able to install this, and configure it to work with our AvertX NVR all in the same day. The Reolink app was easy to install, works well and notifies me of any activity captured by the doorbell camera. The picture is crisp, the two-way audio is a great feature and the ability to play quick reply messages to visitors at the door is a nice feature. You can also record your own custom quick reply messages. There are different sounds for visitors, person, or any motion, you can also opt to turn these sounds off. To be honest, the only thing about the Reolink doorbell camera that was disappointing to me was the fact that there are only 10 different sounds to choose from. The ability to add more sounds or make custom sounds for the different motion events would have been a huge plus in what is already a solid performing camera. If you’re looking for a great doorbell camera that performs well and requires no monthly fees, Reolink has you covered!

Wroks great. Love the App!
This video doorbell was very simple to install. I love the fact that it is POE. I had the camera setup, the app installed, and everything working and tested within an hour. The plug-in chime works well too. Just plug it in and the app found it and added it. The camera is well built and the setup was a breeze. I’ve already had it notify me of delivery persons at the door and I was able to talk to them right from the app. Very impressed.

Truly a great doorbell camera
This camera checks all the boxes — the most important of which is POE installation. I have had the worst luck with doorbell cameras requiring a wi-fi connection, which also makes the camera harder to setup. Using a hardwired POE connection, it’s plug and play and was ridiculously easy to setup. In fact, this thing was easier to setup than a Ring doorbell, and those are pretty simple. The Reolink app is well organized and remarkably full-featured. Just as good, perhaps even better, is the web interface. And configuring the camera to work with my own security system using ONVIF was flawless. Picture and sound quality is very good.

BETTER SMART MOTION DETECTION THAN PROVIDED BY STANDARD POE CAMERAS IN OUR NVR+CAM PACKAGE
I purchased a package of 4k cameras and a NVR for recording but found that, although record functionality and picture quality of these cameras was very good, the motion detection was far too aggressive to ever be used for reliable push notifications (i.e. every change in lighting, rain/snow/wind debris, almost any type of movement triggers a motion and sensitivity/non-detection zone settings are not capable of ensuring only reliable triggers for people). I added a Duo flood cam due to it’s smart detection technology and found a whole different world exists with its capabilities to distinguish people/cars/pets/”any motion”. Would have loved to put more of these at every door, but not in budget. I tried one of the doorbell cams because it also reported to have smart people detection technology and was more in my budget. Although not as adaptive as the duo, this cam was easily able to be adjusted to ensure motion of people were easily triggered but avoiding all other issues experienced with my cameras that came with package. Worked so well that I can set up PUSH notifications to my mobile app and not have to worry about being awaken by false alarms overnight. In fact, works so well I purchased 3 more to have coverage at every exterior door even though the doorbell functionality is not needed.Although I rated this camera 4 stars, the following negatives were the reason for the missing 5th star:1. These doorbell cams come with one wedge to angle partially which probably is sufficient for most typical front door applications; however, when utilizing around other doors I found that more flexibility was required to allow enhanced angle adjustments. I couldn’t find any adjustable mounts as are available for other cameras that can rotate on a ball-joint to get the full range of adjustment needed. Would be nice if Reolink developed a cheap mount. I had some old driveway sensors with ball socket brackets that I was able to modify to screw the doorbell cam bracket to and now can adjust about 150 deg up/down.2. One of the best features of a competitive doorbell cam is that it plays a recorded message such as “YOU ARE BEING RECORDED” as soon as motion is detected as a deterrent for anyone approaching. This cam comes with the ability to alarm when motion is detected or a custom recording can be made to play instead. The alarm is rather harsh and maybe too alarming when someone is legitimately approaching the door. The perfect solution is the ability to record a 5 second custom message to pay instead; however, the recorded message is never played loud enough to hear unless very close to the camera itself (unlike the default alarm). I worked with tech service to resolve but appears it is a limitation of the camera or recording from app issue. I did find that if you can record very loud using a wired mic plugged into phone it does help some on playback. This could be one of the strongest features of this cam if the speaker or issue was resolved (plenty enough power available using POE to have better speaker output).Noteworthy, the Duo flood camera also has same issue with recorded messages even though it includes a volume control and it’s turned to max (full disclosure – I do have app running on older android phone so until I upgrade my phone, I can’t be sure that issue isn’t related to app on my existing phone). Also, although a little tedious emailing customer tech back and forth to problem solve, they are responsive and helpfull diagnosing issues. The new smarter motion detection technology is the way to go and if you are looking for an affordable solution at exterior doors around your house that ensures maximum triggering for “real” events and very minimum false triggers, these cams may work for you as well as they have for me. Perhaps some of their other cameras offer same level of functionality as well.

Great for seeing who is at your front door! Comes with all the mounting equipment you will need and is easy to setup. Have this integrated with home assistant. You don’t need any subscriptions for this. I have the camera facing south on my front door so the image does get washed out once in a while since it has full on sun shining on it. But when the sun starts to go away, it’s great. It even detects animals in my across the street neighbours house. Make sure you update the firmware when you get it, it fixes some issues with the remote door bell and detection. It does have a small delay when you are trying to talk with someone through the doorbell, but its no big issue. I wish you can record your own messages for when the door bell rings.

The hardest part of installing this was running the cable to where I could connect it to my network and also install a PoE switch to provide power. I already had an Argus Eco camera set up on my network, and the doorbell connected to the Reolink app on my phone automatically, and also on the Reolink client on my PC. Now I can view both cameras at once on my phone or PC. Awesome wide angle view, and responses to motion detection or when someone presses the doorbell are almost instant, and it prerecords several seconds before an event so you get to see the visitor’s approach as well. Intercom only has a 1 sec delay, and the chime was pre-synced. Very easy to set up and so much more responsive than Wi-Fi battery doorbell cameras, and no more recharging to worry about either.I had a little trouble getting it connected to my Alexa Echo Show 5. Following Reolink’s instructions, when I tapped on “Smart Home” I kept getting the error “Failed to obtain configuration information”. Eventually I figured out that I needed to log out of my Reolink account on my phone, then log back in. After that, it worked and pretty much added itself. Now I can say “Alexa, show me the front door”, and I can see the live feed on the Echo Show within a few seconds. I can also use the intercom from the Echo Show. However, I cannot get alerts or view recorded events. For that, I need to use the phone app or the Reolink client on my PC.

Only had Cat6 wire for my doorbell, purchased Poe switch and plugged this guy in after terminating my cat 6 cable, it worked right away, the field of view is great very clear, the doorbell chimes immediately no delay. I do have a good wifi set up in my house however. Notifications are great and free. I love this device

PoE version is perfect if you already have the PoE infrastructure at home. Simple plug and play operation and hasnât missed a beat recording to Synology surveillance station, HomeKit (via Scrypted) and to an internal microSD.Just make sure you have a way of getting the Ethernet cable to where you need. If your doorbell is on a distant gate down the driveway then this product may not be ideal for you.
