Clear footage, Quick setup, Easy use
This camera and company are awesome! The app is beautiful, and the functionality is amazing. Since it is wireless, it can be set up in minutes, and with a solar panel plugged in, I never have to charge it even with only a few hours of indirect sunlight a day. The app can differentiate between people, pets, and vehicles. You can set no detection zones and detection by size of object. You can talk through it. You can have the light kick on with motion at night or not. You can change how long it records after detecting motion. It truly is an amazing system, and it is nice to have your own local storage while also being able to see through your cameras from anywhere in the world. I had Arlo for years, but I am glad I switched to a more commercial type product once I needed an upgrade.

Great camera if you can connect
The picture quality is great for day/night time. I can see the lettering on the stop sign from my house. However, the WiFi cannot connect to my router reliably. I do like that I don’t have to pay for a subscription to view videos stored on the microSD card.

Very happy
The camera and app are good for the price point, and setup is very easy. The app is also very good, very little lag. I dont love the friction ring twist mounts for the camera (the ones for the solar panels are better), so I ended up getting cheap aftermarket ones (its a standard camera tripod type thread). Reolink Customer Service were very responsive and it seems like their care about their product and customer experience.

Another great product from Reolink
I needed to replace one of my outdoor Reolink camera that was starting to have video issues. I decided to stay with Reolink and get this upgraded version. The battery is no longer removable which means the case is better sealed against the weather. The camera is higher resolution, and the software is improved. It not only sends you an alarm message it identifies if it’s a person which means you might actually want to check that alert out. Since I have this near my front door the built in LED lights come in handy to see to unlock the door at night if I didn’t leave my porch light on. It takes very clear pictures day and night. They also improved the base mount and made it easier to install. The solar panel does a good job of keeping the battery charged. When my other cameras go bad, which anything electronic will eventually, I will get more of these.

Great Camera, maybe not as waterproof as it should be?
I have been a Reolink user since 2017, when I installed a full POE kit at home. I have since bought heavily into the Reolink environment, both at home and work (I work in tech). I have all of it, NVRs, Wireless, Turrets, Floodlights – everything but the doorbell. I’m very pleased with the quality and functionality of the brand. This was the first camera that gave me a problem. Functionality wise I enjoyed it, the solar panel worked great and kept it fully charged, the lens was perfect for my use case (shed mounted, away from my house) and the wi-fi signal worked surprisingly well. It integrated into the app seamlessly and could be viewed alongside all of my POE and other battery cameras. The problem came when this model recently stopped working. To my surprise I found water had managed to get beyond the seal on the swith/micro sd/ usb cover. The build quality is generally superb so I was really surprised. I will submit a warranty claim and update this review.

Great Picture
Amazing picture, with such clarity. Picks up movement in a very wide area or narrow. Much better than another brand of camera previously had. Setup was easy, and reviewing video and monitoring was just as easy. Solar connection to charge works great. Have now bought 3. Very impressed with a battery-powered wifi camera.

Love the camera
Love the camera. The images are very clear. I’ve been playing with several for now but will permanently mount them on an older antenna mast that I have in my back yard. For those who have problems with distance you can do what I did. I set up one of the Guest accounts on my WIFI Router only for my cameras and bought a WIFI extender. The cameras are all connected to that WIFI extender and nothing else and the extender gives a good, boosted signal across the house. This may help a lot of you out there. I’ve added one of my time lapse videos here for you to enjoy. I find them fun to play with.Make sure that you get a good 128GB micro SD card to go with the camera! That is your storage for all of your videos.

4k doesn’t matter when the camera takes too long to start recording
I’ve been using Nest and DeZees cameras for years, but I’m disappointed at the nighttime resolution for viewing people and vehicle license plates on my street. We’ve had a few car break-ins, so I’ve been looking for a 4k camera to give me a clearer picture of my street at night.I’ve tried this camera for two weeks, and although it is 4k, the wake time after motion detection is very poor. Even with the camera set to full sensitivity, it only starts recording long after the initial action the triggered it. When a vehicle passes my home, the clip will start when the car is too far away to identify. The same happens when people walk their dogs by my house, the clip will record right as their passing in front of the camera. Very disappointing and unusable. In conclusion, this camera made me realize that motion detection, and initial recording speed are more important than resolution. Who cares if the camera is 4k when you never get the right clip. I would return the product but I threw away the packaging.PS, the software will notify you when it detects motion, but you have to hunt for the clip in their poorly designed interface.Buyer beware.

The solar panel will not charge this camera unless you use power saving features, which defeats the purpose of having any features in the first place. If you want to use a power source to charge the camera then that will fail because the supplied charging cord does not seal to the back of the camera, which leaves it exposed to rain and snow. Overall this could be a good unit but reolink fails because of cheap materials.

A great camera for the price, and reasonably easy to set up. It’s also free to use which is better than the more expensive security cameras that you need to pay a subscription.

I purchased to keep track of our large fat cat coming out of a front side gate. AI does not work for cats with this camera. The cat was detected with a paw mark showing on the live video on numerous occasions but the cat was never recorded. Tried every setting, faster sd card, reset and relocated the camera. This camera is programmed to NOT record cats instead it liked to record very small moving shadows. This was my 13th Reolink camera, first with AI, and it’s a total fail. Reolink are good at getting new products on the market but seem to spend little time testing, listening to customer feedback and making relevant updates with new firmware releases. Support people are not technically inclined and all they tell you is on the product support pages anyway.I relocated an old Argus 2 camera where the new camera was and it records the cat every time. So much for AI, it’s very dumb when it comes to Reolink.
