Remo ES0613PS Ebony Pinstripe Drum Head, 13-Inch

The ebony Pinstripe heads are made with two (10 and 5 Mil) Mylar plies with a measured layer of a ring reducing agent applied between them at the outer edge of their trademark stripe to dampen high frequency overtones for warm resonance. Ebony pinstripe’s quick decay makes them ideal heads for the “fat” Sounds of rock and RGB and for those who want more low end sounds with moderate attack and response characteristics.

    Very Pleased
I have recently been trying to create a better sound from my drums as I have begun to play more frequently with my band. I own a Joey Jordison Custom Pearl Snare and I love it. My snare has been great for different style (I have played Metal, Prog Rock, Contemporary, Jazz, Indie, and ect on it. My only problem is that it has a ringing sound to it when hooked up to a mic set. Generally a wood shell would be best for for playing through mics but regardless I had to stop the sound without using dampeners or getting rid of my current snare. I have been wanting ebony heads to get a much deeper sound from my set in the first place but I was feeling sketchy about having one on my snare. I have not played it much since I have had it but it definitely has e great sound to it and seems to take care of most of the ringing. I got this shipped within the time stated and compared to the price I would have paid for one at my local music store the price was better granted not by much but as a college student you have to save anywhere you can. I would say I am Very pleased with my product and will be looking and comparing constantly when making decisions for music equipment.

    Drum head arrived Damaged!
Drum head had a deep scrape along the edge.. I needed the drum for a performance so I’m using the head any way.. I’m not sure how long it will last or if it will split the first time I hit that corner??
