Installation Steps
Step 1 – Compatibility Check The product is compatible with more than 1600 models and 200 brands. Please follow the instructions to complete a simple compatibility test.
Step 2 – Connect the Phone Connect your smartphone or tablet to a 2.4GHz network and ensure that your smart device is covered by a powerful network signal.
Step 3 – Install the Sensor Please make sure the distance between the two sensors is less than 1 inch when the garage door is closed.
Step 4 – Deploy the Device Install the wire from the sensor to the garage door opener. We recommend deploying the device on top of your existing garage door opener.
2.4GHz WiFi network support only: If you keep failing during the setup process and your router has both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi, you may need to temporarily turn off 5GHz on your WiFi router and make sure your smart device is always covered by a strong 2.4GHz WiFi signal.

Works great with Alexa and Google. Monitoring is really handy and seems to be accurate.
On the outside this looks just like a regular smart plug with it’s rectangular shape, single receptacle, plug on the back, and single button on the side. Getting this plug to connect with Alexa or Google is easy and works like any others I’ve used. If you have never used on of these before just follow the simple instructions (instructions with this plug are easy and to the point) and you’ll be up in running in just a few minutes. No issues at all with setting this plug up which is always a good thing.The whole reason I wanted to get this smart plug was for the monitoring so I could monitor different devices within my home. Being able to use the monitoring you have to use their Refoss applications which I was aware of prior to getting this. This is important to understand because you can’t use the monitoring with the Alexa or Google apps and will need an additional app. Once added in the Refoss application everything is very simple and straight forward with nothing that I found to be confusing or hard to understand.I’ve been using this smart plug with monitoring with a large LED floor lamp to see how much energy it uses and it’s been eye opening just how much energy this lamp uses and I can’t wait to try it out with different devices. I do wish the Refoss application had some additional views of the device or just some additional statistics about the device you’re monitoring. But on the other hand it’s super simple for people who are looking for this.
