Works Well for Dimming but Remote and Alexa Setup Have Issues
This dimmer worked as advertised, allowing me to adjust the brightness of my low-wattage bulbs through five levels. However, the remote is a bit finicky—clicking to full brightness doesn’t always work if you’re in a dim mode. If you’re just using it for on and off control, the remote works well enough. There’s also a control directly on the switch itself, which is a nice feature for easy access from two different locations.One issue I noticed is that the labeling on my remote was printed incorrectly—the minus button actually brightens the bulb, while the plus button dims it. However, the switch panel on the remote works as expected, with plus brightening and minus dimming, so it’s just a labeling mistake.I wasn’t able to get the device to integrate with Alexa, despite the vendor’s claim that you can just ask Alexa to discover a new device. It never appeared on my device list, and I couldn’t find it under the vendor name in the lights or switches section. This was a big disappointment since I was hoping to use it in my smart home setup.On the bright side, the remote wall switch is detachable, magnetic, and looks great. It’s intuitive to use and can be accessed easily. The switch box has plugs on both the left and right sides, which might be helpful depending on the orientation of your outlet. In some cases, it’s convenient (like behind a bookcase or dresser), but in other cases, you might prefer the outlet on the front.Overall, electrically, the device works fine, but the issues with the remote and smart home integration were frustrating.

Wish this had HomeKit and Matter support, but otherwise pretty good
There’s a lamp in my bedroom I wish I could turn on and off from the other side of the room and this dimmer plug/remote combo lets me do that. I like that there are two outlets on the box, too.This didn’t work with a smart bulb I already had in my lamp (it just flickered non-stop), and it didn’t work with another plain bulb I tried, but it works properly with a second plain bulb I tried. The remote seems to work across the room without issue, even when pointed in the opposite direction. Dimming works fine, too, though you might see a slight delay with the remote.The remote uses the same kind of button batteries that AirTags do, so if you have extra of those batteries, there’s no need to worry. Maybe it would be nice if there were an option to get a plug-in remote you can use elsewhere and just keep plugged in, or even a USB-C rechargeable remote.Yes, I know there’s Alexa on here, but I would much rather prefer HomeKit and Matter support. If you plug this into a surge protector, be aware that its size will probably block several other outlets from being used.All-in-all, this works pretty well and I’m happy with it.

Nice Combination Dimmer/Smart Plug for Non-Smart LED Bulbs
This combination dimmer/smart plug is designed to work with ordinary lamps/light fixtures and there’s a disclaimer in the included instructions not to use it with anything that requires a transformer box or high-draw wattage requirements. It also isn’t designed for use outdoors and can’t tolerate high (or low) temperature extremes. None of that really matters for my needs as I’m using it to control the LED light bar I have over a plant terrarium, and it does that job beautifully! It’s possible to control it using the provided remote (once you install the button battery and pair it), the buttons directly on the dimmer, or through voice commands via Alexa. For Alexa, it’s detected as a Bluetooth device (a “light”) and given a generic name (in my case it was Ninth Light because I have 8 others already in use around the house) that you can edit to be whatever you want it to be for easier recognition and setup. It was super easy to activate it and establish a daily routine for it to turn on/off at the same times every day which is what I wanted it for. The dimmer steps are in 10% increments and you can short press for each 10% up/down or long press to quickly go to the top or bottom of the range. This also allows you to set the brightness settings via Alexa if you prefer the voice route. I love that it has dual plugs so you can use it as a paired set through a single name/control and they even go so far as to provide you with a wall plate mount for the remote so you don’t lose it. The wall plate installs with either a pair of screws/drywall anchors or has a small self-adhesive disk you can use on smooth surfaces.
