    Can be used with Hue SYNC PC app, the hue sync box is not needed.
    So I’ve been using one of these for a while now and added the 2nd one to my PC gaming setup.One is mounted on shelf above my monitor facing downwards towards the wall and one is hanging off the back of my desk with some 3d printed hooks facing upwards towards the wall.I also have two hue play bars hanging off my 27″ monitor so everything is pretty much covered.They all work perfectly together as one entertainment zone (what the groups are called in Hue Sync app).The light they output is fantastic for gaming, movies, etc. And fully adjustable via the hue sync phone app or hue sync app for PC.I leave these two automated to sync with whatever is on my PC screen unless I’m doing work.6/26/24:So the replacement came and it was shipped in just the retail packaging with an Amazon label slapped on it.Seriously???Box was all beat up, but not totally destroyed.However, the light was fine and worked perfectly.I’m updating my stars from 2 to 5. All product lines have QC issues and I seem to have struck one with my other order. This order was solely an Amazon issue of not being shipped in a shipping box.6/23/24:I already have the white version of this and didn’t have any problems from unboxing or constant use.When I took this black version out of the box, I immediately knew something was wrong.The corded end was very loose where the tube rotates in the socket. Like it wasn’t factory inserted correctly or came loose during shipping. It had a lot of play in a direction it’s not supposed to move.The non-corded end was fine though.After contacting Amazon support I have a replacement on the way.Please learn from my mistake of almost waiting past the the return window and OPEN/CHECK THE LAMP as soon as you get it.

    Bright and responsive to the Sync Box – can be used without one
    I am using this light behind my entertainment center to light the wall behind my TV. I have it hooked up to my Hue TV Sync box so it responds to the colors on the TV but you can use it without and manually set the colors of the light in the Hue app. It can get nice and bright and throws light far away. The colors are vibrant and the soft whites look like soft white. Love it. It did take three tries to get one here that wasn’t damaged or missing from the box though. The box needs additional reinforcement.

    Works well with the Hue TV setups
    I have this mounting firing down behind my wall mounted TV at the bottom. With a little play this fills in the light gap from the Hue TV light strip that covers the sides and top. Expensive for paying retail, but with a discount easier to justify.

    Great additional light
    I love how the light enhances the screen color. I have 2 other lights on the corners of the tv stand since I am not against a wall. Light is paired with the hue box, and that’s a separate $200 plus there is a $3 monthly fee through the app via samsung. Also, you need a smart tv, preferably a 2023 or newer samsung that has the philips app on it. I likee the added light in the room and very subtle.

    For the price, the connecting piece is flimsy.
    The piece that connects to the power box is super flimsy and delicate – the first order didn’t work and had to return it. Second order is better – but I was super careful with the wire.

    love everything Philips hue and this is no exception. looks so amazing and was incredibly easy to set up. would get three if I needed them. the color options are many and automation is fun to use. give it a try!

    The BEST ambient Hue light, BAD seller
    Unexpectedly my favorite hue light I’ve ever gotten, and I have dozens. If you’re looking for the right hue accent lighting to spice up your space, this hands down beats the play bars, table lamps and gradient strips by a mile. It’s basically the signe floor lamp but in a different shape and for 40% less money. incredibly versatile and looks stunning. Considering how overpriced hue tends to be, this is actually more reasonable for value than most of their other items. But as per usual, wait for an inevitable sale if you can. The cable management and connections on the light sucks like normal, but you’ll get over it.That being said. Be very cautious, because this came WITHOUT a shipping box, and the seal was OPENED. This is so incredibly unacceptable for the price. If you live in a sketchy area, find a different seller, because this will get stolen off your porch or in transit.

    Pair with sync box and tv lights
    I have this as well as the TV gradient lights plugged into a sync box. This light is under the TV in the video I posted. I’m really happy with the setup.Overall the quality is great and worth the price. It responds well to change in color. Set-up could have been easier, there’s very little room for error when you wall mount it. Highly suggest you use a level and measure thrice.
