    Truly spectacular lights
    The lights are beautiful and there are so many customizable color programs you can make. You could very easily create or choose a different color scheme for everyday of the year and program them to turn on and off.They are not the easiest ones to install but the way they attach are far more superior to any others I looked at and they are made to last and hold each one of the lights firmly in place.I wish they made them where you could insert a blank wire between eves or roof lines so you don’t have the lights showing between them or out of place going from single to double roof lines. You could tape or paint over the lights that you don’t want showing but that’s a waste of lights. Having a special plug that could be inserted on the strand where splicing is needed would make it look better and easy for a do it yourselfer.I am not recommending that you try what I did unless you are an electrician or electrical savvy person and can solder very small cables. I was able to cut and splice a 4wire flat cable where I didn’t want lights shown.I highly recommend them!

    WiFi quit working
    I bought these lights in November to have fun, year-round lights for each holiday/celebration. About 2 months ago, I had issues getting it set back up with WiFi. It worked when it wanted to but about a month ago, it quit connecting to my router all together. I’ve contacted the company several times with absolutely no response. I would suggest better a more quality brand and save yourself the headache. Spent too much money for them to not last a year.

    Don’t let the stars fool you, this is a great product!
    My husband and I have been wanting these lights for a long time. Word the street was consistently to go with govee. Most influencers will tell you to do so. Couple things they won’t mention:1.) There really isn’t much difference. We have neighbors who have govee and besides maybe some extra fancy app functionality, that honestly you probably won’t use, it’s not worth the extra cost.2.) Our goal, since these are year-round, was also to avoid the gaudy look. During Christmas and Halloween, okay. But a regular summer night? We LOVE the way these look. Our neighbors directly next to us have given, and they look honestly funny during the day on their soffit. They also don’t give a great ambiance like these.3.) We have black soffits. Govee had a black option, but it was hella expensive.Honestly, in the grand scheme of things, it’s going to come down to preference. Do I think govee is awesome? Yes. However, do I think these are just as good especially for our scenario and wants. Yes. Plus added bonus they are more cost effective.Not to mention the customer service is wonderful. We had an issue with one strand and sent a picture and instantly got a new one.So I’m giving this a 4/5. Not everything is perfect, but it’s dang close and if you want really cool smart lights year round. Go with these!

    Mixed bag
    I did not like that you can’t hard wire or plug end to end with these lights. Also you can’t terminate/cut these lights so you must measure measure measure before ordering. If you’re screwing into metal soffit, I recommend pre-tapping the holes with a small drill bit before screwing the screw in. Otherwise you will drop so many screws. Why make waterproof lights but non-waterproof plug? Other than that they look great and are bright.
