How many LED pucks are there in each light string segment?

Nanoleaf Permanent Outdoor Lights come in 16.4ft (5m) light strings segments. Each 16.4ft (5m) segment contains 10 LED pucks. Within each puck, there are 3 Warm White LEDs, 3 Cool White LEDs, & 1 RGB LED.

Can I use just the mounting tape provided to install the light string? Do I have to use screws?

The included 3M tape is for short-term & and setup ease. Use the included screws for reinforcement & permanent mounting. Our unique mounting method allows you to slide the light string and pucks on/off easily if you need to keep them up temporarily.

Am I able to cut the light string to a specific length?

Yes, you can cut the light string to your desired length by using the splicer. If you are trimming the last light string at the end of your setup, it is crucial that you properly seal the cut end to prevent potential water damage.

    Doesn’t work consistently, support is not responsive
    When the lights work, they are good and act as expected. You are not able to configure it in the app to define the color of each light, but the effects work well and lights are nice enough.My problem is that whenever I leave the lights on on a single color for a few hours, the sequence starting at a particular point on the second set just stops responding and the lights won’t turn on or off (or change colors obviously) from that point on.I had originally noticed the issue when I first tested the lights, at that point I troubleshooted the issue with the support and the lights started working again, so I installed them on the house assuming the problem was fixed, however, as soon as I left the lights on for a few hours, the problem happened again. Going through the troubleshooting process will solve the problem, but it requires physically disconnecting the sets from each other, which is simply not a solution for lights installed in a tall spot outside of my house.I’ve contacted support several times, they are incredibly slow to respond and insist in asking me the same questions over and over again and asking me to try different things to test and troubleshoot, which is incredibly frustrating and difficult considering where the lights are installed. It seems to me that if there is a problem with the lights (which clearly there is) they should ship me a new set and test the defective one themselves when its shipped back to the company (or recall the whole thing if all units are defective)I’ve been trying to solve this with Nanoleaf for over a month with no solution on sight, which is incredibly disappointing and means my lights will definitely not be working properly for christmas.

    Missed opportunity, Limited app
    The Nanoleaf app seems very limited and disappointing. For example, you cannot individually control the LEDs even though they are listed as “addressable”. Also, you can’t sync multiple controllers together.The build quality is nice and these come with wire covers instead of you having to also DIY covering up the wires. These could have been perfect if it weren’t for the limited software. Nanoleaf really missed an opportunity here to make the best light.If wire covers are a priority for you, get these. But if you need to customize the lights, get something like Govee. It seems like most of the cheap lights support individually addressing lights, and a lot even support WLED.

    Not individually addressable
    Note that you cannot change individual light colors or turn individual lights on or off. Most other popular permanent outdoor lights have this feature. You can use and create your own scenes, in which you can use many colors. You just can’t specify which pucks are which color.I like that it comes with cable tracks to hide the wires between pucks.
