Instructions were pretty clear for a non-electrician like myself, but I do consider myself handy, so take that with a grain of salt. The app works well, and I love that it is an app for the Apple Watch! Alexa and Wyze don’t have that.

Put this on my stairs. It works great. I always forget this light on when I’m leaving. Put it on a timer of 2 min and it goes off. Install was a little hard but that was because of my wiring. I am loving the black color
