    This is so cool
    I bought this to replace a Leviton 15-30-60-120 Minute Countdown Timer Switch that started to buzz after 10 years of use. I use this switch for a bedroom ceiling fan, and it works great. It was easy to install and easy to pair with my WiFi network and smart phone. It’s nice to be able to control the fan through a smart speaker while I’m lying in bed at night.

    Just What I Needed
    I have been dying to hook up our house fan to a “smart” switch so I could control it remotely or via voice. Sometimes I’m rooms away but need to turn off the fan when the neighbors light up their stinky fire pits, or I just want the fan on for a smaller amount of time because it’s pretty chilly outside but I need to cool down a room. This timer was just what I needed. Installation was fairly straightforward though it turned out I needed a little bit of extra wire to be able to reach “around” the large timer box. It’s been working great so far for our needs. Great that it hooks up to Alexa and Google or can use the app or just use the buttons on the device itself. Hope it lasts for a long time.

    Ideal for bathrooms, sensible time choices, no bright lights, DIYer install.
    I chose this after looking at all the other timer options. one hour max time is more than enough time, the light yellow lights are great and not bright at night, it is not noisy at all, buttons are quiet to operate. I was able to install this, replacing the existing on/off switch, after watching some wiring videos. IF you have done DIY electrical switches replacement you can do this. it does need to connect to a white wire, which i did, even though the light switch did not have the white wire connected, it was capped in the outlet box. It now has three wires connected to it plus the ground: one white, and two black. If you get the blacks reversed the switch simply will not work, so reverse them and it should work. the black wires do different things even though they are the same color. I’m very happy with this, you can set the time and leave, knowing the fan will dehumidify the bathroom while one is away and switch off.

    Functional, but fragile…
    We’ve loved our new timer switch and have found it very helpful for ensuring that people didn’t leave the bathroom fan running for extended periods of time. Accordingly, we were super disappointed when the main fan switch cracked less than a year after itts installation (hence the deduction of one star). It works great, but now we’re going to have to replace it due to the damage from normal daily use. For those who may be wondering, it’s matte white (not satin/shiny white like most standard white switches). Just something to keep in mind when trying to match a faceplate. We found a matte white plate and switches that match well from other sellers on Amazon.

    Timer works great, make sure you have extra wires before installing
    Timer, as is works great. All the connection terminals are the pressure screw-down type which made wiring easy. It does come with a single extra white neutral wire, but wish it came with a hot and ground wire which is my only negative part of the review. Not a big deal if you are an electrician, but kinda sucky for a homeowner if you don’t have spare electrical wire laying around in your garage. I just salvaged the wires from my old timer to make this work. The WiFi works too and was very easy to connect to my home network and Google Home without issues (Supports Alexa too, but I don’t use it). The Minston app was easy to use and makes it easy to adjust the LED lighting options on the countdown timer. Sadly there is currently no support for Home Assistant, but I’m sure it there will be in the future if someone works on it. Overall very happy with this timer.

    Allows App control of Exhaust Fans
    Since Oregon is getting many more days that go into the upper 90s and don’t cool down to the 60s until the middle of the night, it is getting harder to cool the house overnight. I wanted a way to turn on the exhaust fans in the two bathrooms and laundry room in the middle of the night, plus still use a manual timer during the day. These units do this well.I have automated a number of lights, blinds, etc. using the Tuya app (same functions as Smart Life) and Alexa, so added the timer switches to Tuya. The documentation on using the timer with Smart Life is minimal, but I worked the functions out by trial and error. I created a scene in in Tuya that should have worked great, as you can check the outside temperature via an integrated weather service, so I could specify that the fans don’t come on if the outside temp is above 70. However, it worked intermittently. I switched to creating a routine in the Alexa app (which does not have the temp check capability). I just have the fans come on at 2:30 in the morning by triggering the 4 hour button.Note that Tuya/Smart Life “automation” scenes do not show up for use in Alexa, but “Tap-to-Run” scenes do. I created a Tap-to-Run scene in Tuya that activates button 6. I use this in the Alexa routine as the “turn on for 4 hrs” action. (It is also possible to include making button 6 have a longer run time in the scene, but I don’t do that.)I hope this all helps anyone searching for how to make this type of automation work with the timer.

    Good Functioning Timer
    Standard install and used for bath fan. The push button format is much better than the click up type to get to different minutes. The LED lights are great and not obnoxious. You can actually adjust the LED lighting levels; I did not need to make adjustments.No way to guess how long it will last. I will update the review if it fails.

    Poor electric design and missing error recovery feature in firmware
    The timer overshoots current each time it powered ON (on any selected time), shortening the life of the fan’s motor. Also, couple of times it has crashed, turning ON all the buttons LED – after pressing a button several times the timer recovers.

    Si es bueno y facil de instalar, lo malo es que no trae carcasa se queda asi medio feo, pero le consegui una carcasa de contacto grande y se la adapte y si quedo mejor visualmente, pero funciona muy bien.
