[NEW 800 SERIES] This zwave scene remote is built in the 800 series Z-Wave chip for better signal coverage than ever, and faster communication, with S2 authenticated security and SmartStart for effortless pairing. Extend the wireless coverage if your hub supports Long Range.
[REMOTE CONTROL] Use remote control buttons to trigger scenes and turn other smart home devices on or off. Z-Wave hub required, sold separately.
[ANYWHERE SWITCH] Install it in a regular switch box or stick it to any flat surface for convenient and wire-free control. This is a battery-powered device with a magnetic base that allows a flexible installation anywhere you always wanted another light switch (no electrician needed!).
[Z-WAVE HUB COMPATIBILITY] This scene controller works with SmartThings, Homeseer, Home Assitant. Most basic Z-Wave systems aren’t advanced enough to allow scene control programming. Needed a customized device handler for SmartThings hub control. (Instructions included with the product).
[SCENES CONTROL] 4 buttons in total. 4 scenes for each button of this zwave scene controller.16 different scenarios supported.
Customers say
Customers find the electronic switch easy to set up and program. It works well with SmartThings and Z-Wave, providing convenient control for smart home devices without a phone or computer. They appreciate its connectivity to Home Assistant, SmartThings, and Alexa. The strong magnet and mountability are also appreciated. However, opinions vary on the responsiveness.

Much better than others
When I ordered these controllers, I was sceptical about what I would receive. I have tried many other controllers and they have either been very cheaply made, incompatible with SmartThings, difficult to pair or work with ST and limited in function. This controller is none of that. They are solidly built, compact and multifunctional in design. You can mount them like a regular switch, alone or in an electrical box. You can use it as a remote and have it with you, wherever you are. The magnetic base holds it solidly in place when on the wall. The controller is solidly built and doesn’t feel flimsy. Button presses are firm and don’t leave you guessing if it pressed or not.Pairing was easy and simple. I had 3 of them completely programmed in less than 3 minutes each. The first one required an applet addition to my ST account but the download and installation instructions were clear, concise and complete and left no room for question or error. That took an extra 2 or three minutes to set up the first one.Pairing & programming was easy and straightforward. I have used these everyday for the past week and they have performed flawlessly with great distance reception wherever I am on the property.I ordered 4 to begin with and will be ordering more in the future. The only complaint that I have is that it took 2 weeks for them to arrive.

Used with Home Assistant
I got this so I could control some smart switches and a smart led strip in a room without my phone. This worked perfectly. There was a blueprint in home assistant that made it easy to set it up. I have had it for a while now and havenât even worried about battery.

Keeps connection well, easy to add to a room to control scenes
Looking at HA logs, nothing out of the ordinary. Has kept a connection well for 6 months. Responsive and activates the scenes on demand.

Works like a charm with HomeSeer 4
Including in HomeSeer 4 worked on the first try.It will add the device, a battery device and a scene controller. With the scenes it is very easy to setup the functions you want the remote (or your home automation) to do.We use it as a remote in the living room and not wall mounted. The remote responds very quickly and so far flawless. You can configure for each button1 press2 press and hold3 double press4 3 presses5 releasedSo 4 âscenesâ for each button plus the release. That makes it 16 different scenarios you can program.I did change the wake up from 12 hours to once daily. Thatâs enough for battery status and should help with conserving battery.Speaking of battery, the device uses two batteries. For some reason I thought it uses one. Not a big deal I just mention it here.It looks like you can even program the color and the brightness of the led when the button is pushed. Not testet and not sure why I would like to change this. The battery status when to report low battery seems also to be adjustable but I didnât test it yet.So, I will update the review should the batteries die on me early. I hope I get a few month of use out of it.So far so good. I will keep this company on mind when I buy more zwave items.I really like it a lot and perhaps buy one more to wall mount it where I would like a switch but have no wiring. Like on the night stand, it doesnât have to be a wall.

Very versatile switch for home automation
I’ve only owned this for two days, and so far it seems like an excellent product. I had been waiting literally years for a wall-plate compatible button I could use with SmartThings to trigger my hot water recirculator. I was able to use the great Lutron Picoswitches for this years ago with the now-defunct Staples Connect hub, but SmartThings doesn’t support controlling non-Lutron devices with the Picoswitch. This is a similar product, easily wall-mounted (with or without a gang box), battery-powered, and with the added benefit of four buttons x three actions each for up to twelve control options.I’m taking off ½ * because it has been slightly inconsistent in operation. I had to pair/unpair several times before it fully-paired to the extent that I could assign the buttons. Also it sometimes requires pressing a button multiple times to get a response. For instance I have one button set to turn on a bedside lamp (via a Z-wave outlet), with a double-press to turn it off. Turning on always works consistently, but turning off often requires repeating multiple times.I’m taking off the other ½ * because the magnetic attraction between the wall-plate insert and the switch is very weak, to the point that the switch could fall off the wall if it’s bumped, or could wiggle slightly when pressing it. I resolved this very effectively with a single strip of double-sided tape, but it’d be nice if the magnets were stronger.

Good idea, mediocre execution
The switch itself seems to work well. It paired quickly, and worked every time I tested it.However, the mounting plates are a different story. Despite being advertised as a “stick it anywhere” switch, the hardware sold with the switch does not allow you to stick it to the wall. The included screws are far too long, and prevent the adhesives from contacting the wall when the cover plate is installed. You could mount it without the cover plate, but that’s ugly. The whole reason I bought this is so I could stick another switch to my wall without having to run wires through the attic. If you screw everything into a box or directly into the wall, it’ll probably work okay. You’ll be left with some giant holes in your wall though from the screws poking through.Don’t buy it for the looks.
