    Worth It! Would Buy Again!
    I have purchased and currently use several Meross products and have been happy with all of them. This one makes no exception. The product looked well packaged when it arrived. Just like their other products it was really simple and easy to setup. As you can see in the pictures it can take up a decent amount of space. It leaves room to plug in something to the other outlet, but it won’t give space for something if it’s bulky. It sticks out away from the wall a bit when it’s plugged in, but in most situations I don’t think that would be a big issue. It works fine for what I’m using it for. I really like that each of the two outlets can be controlled separately. You can turn off both or one or the other individually which makes it really nice. I just got this outlet and it seems to be working fine. I’ve never had any issues with previous Meross products. No issues with connections to WiFi or anything like that. This one seems to be working great just like the other ones I have. I’ll update if any issues come up. If no update then everything is working great! I would highly recommend this product and would purchase again.

    Easy To Use Smart Plug
    I have used Meross’s smart garage door opener for the last several months and it works great so when I needed a new smart plug I decided to see what they had available.Physically the plug is compact and feels solidly made. Its not something you are going to notice on the wall which is nice. It pretty much blends in to the standard wall outlet.This plug works pretty much like all other smart plugs that I have used. I had it set up within the Meross app in about 3 minutes and had it linked in Amazon Alexa app in another 3 minutes. It works with my Amazon Echos great! I don’t use any other smart home systems so I can’t speak to their set up ease or use.One thing I wanted to call out is that the each outlet on the plug has its own name and can be controlled independently within the Meross app and though Alexa. This wasn’t clear from the item description but I assumed that it would be the case, and I am glad that my assumption turned out to be accurate.I would definitely recommend and might end up buying a few more.

    Does all as advertised, love the two separate switches in one unit
    Was skeptical at first having experienced tech that was supposed to do something with easy set up and being dissatisfied with the results.NOT THIS SWITCH! It is doing everything as advertised,.It took no more then 3 minutes to set up the connection and so far the app works great! ( includes easy to use instructions if needed)There is a fan and a light attached to the switch with different on/off times set in the schedule for each and they are coming on along with turning off as set in the schedule.The slim profile of the switch allows for the other plug in the wall(see pictures) to be used without a problem.I on a recommendation of a friend bought the Meross wifi garage door opener which I use which my house and car Echo’s , works as I hoped.Explored Meross’s catalog and saw this slim two way switch which as I hoped could be used in my office as I have two more lamps to attach at this outlet.Because the two way switch works so well, allows for space to add another along with the separate schedule feature, I am buying another for this outlet.I am very happy with the tech of this wifi outlet so far and will update if things change.But thinking that there will be more places to use them in the office and also at home.

    Works as expected. Very chatty over network
    Using this with home-assistant in the area where I needed two smart outlets but there was no room for any other plug.Phone app-less setup was a bit of PITA until I discovered bytespider/Meross project to have the outlet join the wifi network and metoss_lan project to manage it directly over LAN from HA. No local MQTT necessary.Since I generally firewall IoT devices off from the network and enjoy reading the firewall logs in my spare time, I quickly spotted saw attempts to reach out to a set of random IPs from the outlet as soon as it came online. The connection attempts happen over UDP 123 but I haven’t cared yet enough to dump the traffic and see what the outlet is actually trying to do.

    Cannot connect
    I have invested quite a bit in only using Meross products in my home. Some of the smart outlets I have purchase are problematic. This one in particular does not connect and is not available in the app itself. I got it to work with the HomeKit but it stopped working within a day.

    So simple with HomeKit
    The set up couldn’t have been easier with HomeKit. I know many people use other platforms for smart products but I use HomeKit and I’m always on the look out for good products that work on that Apple platform. This one couldn’t be easier. I scanned the QR code and it loaded quickly. I use it to control two lamps from a single outlet. it’s awesome because of the versatility which allows me to either turn both lamps on or, if that’s too much light, I can turn either lamp on. It’s perfect!
