Works like a champ IF you understand house wiring
Works well with my dimmable LED lights. You have to run the compatability test to set your dimmer switch correctly! Easy to set up if you have a basic understanding of house wiring. The remote control allows you to make your sinle pole switch into a 3-way. Very cool!

    Love this brand!
I love that this brand works with multiple smart ecosystems. We use both Alexa and HomeKit, so having a device that works with both is great! They have a simple design that works well with faceplates from the local hardware store. The fact that this has a remote saved us a good bit of money by reducing the electrical wiring, junction boxes, and the added expense of a three way switch. Unlike other smart devices, I’ve never noticed or heard any humming or electrical noise from these. They easily connect to my HomeKit ecosystem and automatically add to my Alexa app as soon as they are connected to my router… no need for additional app setup!!! They mostly always automatically update, but occasionally, I will have to go into the Meross app and manually initiate a software update. It’s not enough to devalue the product though. If you want a three way light without the hassle and expense of wiring another outlet, this is the way to go!

HomeKit Compatible – If you are patient.
I purchased this switch to replace another smart switch. This is less visually appealing than the previous model, but it will do. The cover is much narrower than previous ones so be aware of that. The brightness can be controlled by HomeKit by 1% levels, but the Meross app does not offer that same functionality. The switch is a bit deeper (about 0.5 inches) so be sure the box is deep enough to hold the switch and the wires. The remote control is worth very little in my opinion. The cover for the battery is difficult to replace once you put the battery in and is made of the cheapest plastic you have ever seen. Since I didn’t purchase this for use with the remote, I didn’t even bother to connect the remote for the other 2 switches I installed. Overall it does exactly what I wanted it to do. Helpful hint, if using this for HomeKit you might run into problems connecting multiple times. Install with the Meross app (using the non-HomeKit version in the app) and then add it to HomeKit.

Works great! Incredibly easy install, finely tunable dimming, long range remote.
I adore this dimmer set, I have tried so many between name brand sets like Legrand, Brilliant, Lutron, Leviton etc. and none of them have been the perfect package. Often with a compromise or two, whether that be aesthetics, response time (delay for lights to turn on and off, or dim), connectivity, durability, tactile feedback, etc, this is finally the option that checks every box. The remote is icing on the cake, it has an absurd range, and ZERO delay. It’s absolute magic. As a HomeKit user this set checks that box, and goes above and beyond with truly being the best option out there. And what’s more, it’s cheap in cost, yet not in function or feel.I can’t recommended a product with such passion anymore than this dimmer switch.Buy it!

    remote
A light switch was behind the door. Rather than rewiring or changing the swing of the door I looked into remote switches. I don’t care for wifi connection or integration with a smart home. I purchased this as well as a different switch (Wireless Light Switch and Receiver Kit B0BRPKLL1Y). For the other switch, there is only a remote (though it’s battery-less unlike this one); since I wanted to retain functionality of the original switch I install this device.Physically installing was pretty easy – I used Wago connectors instead of the supplied wire nuts (connecting sold to stranded wire). Getting the remote to work was an exercise in frustration. The written instructions don’t tell you how so you’re forced to install the app and connect the switch. Long press the top and bottom buttons on the main switch for ~5 sec, then on the remote press the top and then bottom buttons — though I don’t know if these instructions will work without connecting. I uninstalled the app after I got the remote to work. Eventually I’ll ban it from my wifi network. The cover plate for the non-remote unit requires some force to get the plastic to snap into the locks — probably easier to use the supplied double sided tape. For the remote, others reports that it falls out of the cover plate, so I mounted it directly to the wall with double sided tape (though when the battery runs out I’ll use command strips instead).

Be sure to use flicker-free LED bulbs
I purchased this switch so that I could control the bedroom lights using a remote on the nightstand. I installed the switch and immediately had terrible flickering light no matter where the dimmer level was set. I was using some inexpensive dimmable Walmart brand bulbs and could only remove the flickering by installing a regular incandescent bulb in one of the 4 lamps. That result made me think that the low inconsistent electrical load could be messing with the dimmer circuit. A bit of web searching led me to purchase some “Philips LED Flicker-Free Frosted Dimmable A19 Light Bulbs” (there are probably other bulbs that are flicker-free but these are the ones decided on). These bulbs have totally removed the flickering. They are very smooth at full intensity (I set the app level to 95%) and they will dim down to a very very low brightness all while producing a consistent flicker-free light. This isn’t an ad for light bulbs but I would have liked to have read a review like this to know what works and what doesn’t. These bulbs have changed my opinion of the dimmer from a disappointment to a very nice usable product. FWIW, I’ve read reviews for competitive and expensive dimmers that have similar reports of flickering so this does not appear to be an issue with this specific product. Try higher quality flicker-free bulbs if you’re seeing flickering light output. I have not tested any integrations yet because I was really just looking for a wall dimmer switch with a remote control and this works perfectly. I did use the Meross app to set the min/max brightness settings.
