We do recommend that you configure HomeKit products in the Meross app first. The Meross app offers the latest firmware updates so that you can use the firmware in a more stable and secure way. Once paired up with Meross app, the devices can be controlled in both Meross and Home app.

To enable HomeKit remote control, you need a HomePod, an Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD. Set any of these Apple devices in your house as a HomeKit bridge and connect it to your home Wi-Fi network. Keep in mind that once your HomeKit bridge is set up, it has to be kept online. If it is powered off or disconnected from the Wi-Fi, it will fail to respond when you intend to control the device remotely.

Compatible with Apple HomeKit, Apple Watch, Siri, Carplay, Amazon Alexa and SmartThings.

Wi-Fi request: Connect your iPhone to 2.4GHz home Wi-Fi while setting up HomeKit. If you are having a Mesh Wi-Fi name for both your 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi and it keeps fail during setup. You may need to turn off the 5GHz on your Wi-Fi router temporarily. Make sure that your smart device is always covered by strong Wi-Fi signal, otherwise your smart device may not respond to Home app.

Some users feedback there was NO POWER OUTPUT after it work for a while. Usually it is caused by an overload or short circuit which makes MSS620HK blow its fuse to avoid other SERIOUS DAMAGES. Please avoid using high power appliances, such as PUMP, POOL FILTER, MOTOR, etc.

If you are experiencing NO POWER OUTPUT issue, please contact seller for assist.

Reliable and easy. Good for Xmas lights.
This is a sturdy, easy to use unit with reliable Alexa integration. Even though it’s only rated for 10 amps or 1250 watts, it uses a higher grade, weather resistant 14 AWG electrical cable rated as SJTW, 105C. The outlets are plugged with thick rubber caps that look like they’ll hold up well. Setup is simple, thanks to well written instructions and a good app. There’s a separate set of instructions for the Homekit users too. It has a handy notch to mount the outlet to the wall (though I wish this was offset so that the screw would be accessible). There’s also a little loop on the strain relief that can serve a similar purpose. The app is great. It does a good job of guiding the setup process and it seems to be written by someone who understands English like a native speaker. Once set up, the app has a couple features that are sometimes overlooked: a countdown timer so that the outlet will automatically turn off after X minutes and an option to turn off the LEDS. Plus, there’s a widget to control devices directly from the homescreen. Also, it has one essential feature that every manufacturer ought to have: a direct link to the manual.Alexa integration works flawlessly and the wifi range seems good. Alexa commands are carried out reliably and with no more than a couple seconds delay. Alexa routines also work well. Each plug can be named and addressed independently. The unit as a whole can also be named. (Hint: use names that sounds distinctly different.) Right now I have the unit about 150’ from an access point, going through half a dozen walls, in a RF congested area and I’ve had zero issues.

    Works great
This works great and integrates perfectly with our Wifi and Homekit. We live in a northern state and this has never failed outside, even down to -30*F.

    Works well
This is working well to control a fountain outside. It is weather-resistant, not submersible. It is in a relatively sheltered setting, so should be okay. Plastic plugs are there to protect unused outlet, if needed. Short cord to hang outside of outlet enclosure. It wouldn’t connect to HomeKit using the camera and QR code, but connected manually right away. The instructions clearly cover this eventuality, so good job there. HomeKit control works very well, both setting a schedule and manually. Outlets can be controlled independently; I didn’t need that, but feature is there and works if you do. Only caveat is that I’ve only had it for 3 weeks.

    Great HomeKit Outdoor Smart Plug
I bought this to schedule lights we have on our deck to go on and off with home automations in HomeKit. The setup was very simple and what you would expect from any HomeKit enabled product. I simply plugged it in, opened the Home app, scanned the HomeKit sticker on the side of the plug, waited a few seconds, and then assigned the room and names for the outlets. I’d say it only took two minutes to set it all up. For those reviews saying it does not work with HomeKit, they clearly don’t know how to do it.After setup, I was able to add to my automations and control the lights on and off my network, as I have multiple Apple TV’s and HomePods that act as hubs.I’ve only had it running a couple of days, but will update on how well it holds up to damp conditions and rain. At this point that’s the only thing I’m worried about based on other reviews, but happy so far.

There are some noteable design limitations to consider before purchase
Let me start with build quality. It’s questionable. I ordered two. One came with an open crack between the two halves of the plastic body because the unit had not been assembled correctly. Fortunately, I was able to take it apart and re-assemble it. It is worth noting that there are no rubber gaskets or other seals to keep water out of the main housing. The two rubber outlet covers which were black in the product photos are actually yellow. They are very supple and seem to provide a good seal when inserted into the receptacles. (The only seal in the entire product.) However, when they are not inserted into the receptacles, they hang between the two receptacles from a very, very thin strip of rubber. It is not hard to imagine them getting accidentally torn off, but that’s not even the biggest problem with them. It is almost impossible to plug in two cords at the same time because the product’s two receptacles are placed fairly close together and those hanging covers get in the way. You have to really pull the covers out of the way with some force to insert a second plug. It seems inevitable that the rubber covers will get torn off. If the designers had hung the covers in any other direction, this problem would have been averted. Similar products all get this right. Only meross gets it wrong. (It’s worth noting that meross offers another version of this product—same model number but different housing—that does solve this problem…while creating another.)The biggest design hassle for me is the plug end of this product—the one that gets inserted into your AC receptacle. This is a product designed to be used outdoors. The designer should absolutely assume it is going to be plugged in inside a weather housing, yet meross drops the ball here too. The plug points down at a 90-degree angle. This means if you plug it into the top outlet, you can’t use the bottom outlet. If you plug it into the bottom outlet, you can’t close the door of the weather housing. If you want to use two of these units together, forget it. You can’t. Attaching the cord to the plug at a 45-degree angle would have completely solved this problem. As is, there is no solution. So is there anything good about this product? Absolutely. It was easy to connect to HomeKit. Once you switch your iPhone over to the product’s ad hoc wifi signal while you set it up, everything works exactly like it should. And the product allows you to control each outlet independently. In fact, functionally, this product checks all the boxes. Unfortunately, its physical design is a deal killer.
